theroundsquare Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 You can still get those from retailers like Mitchell & Ness. Banishing that version of the olde english D was one of the dumbest moves of the Avila regime. And they tried to sell us on MLB pushing uniformity. Yet the Yankees still have multiple different interlocking NY logos. Quote

I hate it. Caberera's last game should be wearing the same jersey that our other legends wore. Not some gimmicky gas station knock off. 1 Quote

lordstanley Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 2-run homer for Baddoo, his 10th of the year, and it is 3-0 Tigers Quote
romad1 Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 Its been interesting to see the panicky Reds' behavior in this series. Remember when we behaved like that? The weird breaks in the action. The arguments. That's a coaching staff and team trying to get into the playoffs. Quote

Yet the Yankees still have multiple different interlocking NY logos. I’ve never seen so many different color baseball shoes as these guys wear now…on the same team. Neon this and neon that. Don’t even start on all the chains, literally, that these guys wear around their necks. The only thing that is uniform on the MLB mandated uniforms is that ugly Nike slug on the chest. Quote
theroundsquare Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 I hate all the shoes, too. I miss black cleats. I remember a quote from (I think) Mark McGwire when he got traded to the Cardinals, saying he thought a big difference was going from white shoes to red. Quote
romad1 Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 As a guy who wears softball cleats more nights a week than I don't, i have to say my UA cleats are the most comfortable shoes I own. And that's weird. i almost want to wear them to work. Quote
lordstanley Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 Meadows had been 0 for 28 before a 7th inning single, then comes home on a hit by Torkelson. 4-1 Tigers. Quote
lordstanley Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 Foley came in with 2 on in the 8th and got an inning-ending double play. Batter’s name was quite the mouthful: Christian Encarnacion-Strand. Quote
