It’s the kind of comment that a real insider to the Tigers would make, and it made me feel that the people making this show are my people. Ha! Caught that too, said she had season tickets to the tigers and the crappy little league play reminded her of that season lol. Edited Monday at 12:07 PM by Tigeraholic1 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted yesterday at 01:01 PM Posted yesterday at 01:01 PM Season 4 of The Bear premieres on June 15th It better return to the quality that season 1 and 2 had. Quote
oblong Posted yesterday at 01:06 PM Posted yesterday at 01:06 PM that just reminded me we never watched the last episode of season 3. that's how much we were into it. Quote
Tigeraholic1 Posted yesterday at 02:12 PM Posted yesterday at 02:12 PM Andor has been pretty weak IMHO. The whole landing on the planet and dealing with the weirdo civil war crew seemed like a waste of time. Quote

I thought it was a fun tie in since they were on Yavin 4 and theoretically could have further evolved into the rebel unit on the moon leading up to the battle there. It also was a nice juxtaposition to the sophisticated/more professional part of the rebellion (Luthen et al) that was actually funding this crew. Showing under the hood of the early rebellion you could say, not all the parts were actually good. Saw Gerrera also referenced not liking them previously in the series and I enjoy things like that making the universe seem actually real. On the surface it didn't seem to have much to do with the story outside of holding up Andor while other stuff happened but I personally liked the little details within the whole thing myself. 1 Quote

The zone has definitely been flooded with youtube videos telling me how wonderful the series is. The depth of the quality of acting and writing is really amazing. Mon Mothma selling her daughter off, knowing her best friend is about to be killed to secure the Rebellion and her reaction to dance like she's Billy Idol in the "Dancing With Myself" video. We still have not had the killer monologue for this season with possible exception of Cassian's pep talk for the woman in the facility he stole the prototype tie fighter from. I can see why MAGA people wouldn't like this series because it contains themes on the causes and experiences of Rebellion that aren't beer haul putschs driven by personality cults. 1 Quote

That was a fantastic opening to the season, great speech that outlines his journey in a way. I'm not sure what you mean by the zone, etc. as I stay away from even trailers these days. I find myself enjoying shows and movies a lot more when I'm not going crazy digging into them on the internet personally haha. Is it inorganic "reviews" about season 2 you're referencing? I am not aware of any reaction to this season yet but I'm sure I'll come across it eventually. Quote

I don't follow all of the Star Wars universe so thanks for putting into prospective. The acting in that scene seemed pretty bad, but maybe that was on purpose. I geeked tf out when he was leaving the moon and we saw the temples, I thought it was just a random planet at first. And I can't disagree that some of the rebel group's acting left a lot to be desired. It did feel like it may have been intended to be campy like that but ya still not great. Quote
