lordstanley Posted Monday at 01:44 AM Author Posted Monday at 01:44 AM Holy, the President’s Trophy-winning Jets score two goals in final 2 minutes, including one with 1.6 seconds to go, to force Game 7 to overtime. Look who scored the 3-2 goal. 1 Quote

Mr.TaterSalad Posted Monday at 03:08 AM Posted Monday at 03:08 AM What a great, exciting game. A comeback by Winnipeg with under 2 minutes left in the game, a very last second possible goal, and a Double OT thriller with the Jets winning it in the end. That was a fun watch. 1 Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted Monday at 11:43 AM Posted Monday at 11:43 AM Wow, I remember getting excited like that in playoff hockey.................BARELY. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted Monday at 12:00 PM Posted Monday at 12:00 PM I want a Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup. I don't care if it's Edmonton, Toronto or Winnipeg. I know a lot of you hate the Leafs. I don't. When the Red Wings were owned by the Norris family and traded good players for not getting haircuts (look it up, it's 100% true), and made stupid moves just to try to break the players union, I turned my back on them and became a Leafs fan. Mostly because Sittler scored 10 points in a game. I watched them every Saturday night on Channel 9. Then the Leafs brass started doing the same stupid **** the Wings owners did. Traded Lanny just to spite Sittler, a near riot broke out at Maple Leaf Gardens that day. I got back into the Wings after Illitch bought them and made moves designed to actually try to win. But I really want Winnipeg to win the whole thing. Because they had their hearts ripped out by the league when they stole their team and moved it to Phoenix (only to see that fail). Because they had a giant portrait of the Queen at their barn. I'm not a fan of the Queen, but it's just so goddamned weird, how can you not love it? Plus, they're the little guy in all of this. Hockey just means more to Canada. I am rooting for Canada these days for other reasons too. 32 years without a Cup. Maybe this is the year. Quote
Hongbit Posted Monday at 05:47 PM Posted Monday at 05:47 PM Rob Blake fired as Kings GM after 8 seasons. They never won a playoff series under his reign. 5 first round exits. Hard to believe the last series they won was the 2014 Cup Final over the Rangers. Nice to see that’s it possible to fire an unsuccessful GM even when he’s a former hall of fame player with the team. I wish that would happen more often in the league. Quote

RandyMarsh Posted Wednesday at 07:13 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:13 PM At first glance it made me think of the late 90s Sabres logo. Quote
Dan Gilmore Posted Wednesday at 08:12 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:12 PM As a (retired) graphic designer, I approve. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted Wednesday at 08:38 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:38 PM It looks like a create-a-team logo from NHL 2011. I am a sucker for logos that have a more classical, less modern look to them. I don't care for the team name font in the design either. I'm no graphics guy though, so what do I know. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted Wednesday at 08:40 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:40 PM One of the more modern design NHL logos I have always liked is the original San Jose Sharks logo design from their inaugural season. Quote
Shinzaki Posted Wednesday at 08:45 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:45 PM I'm a sucker for 1970s minor league logos that look like an 8th grader drew them Quote
CMRivdogs Posted Wednesday at 09:08 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:08 PM There's an ECHL team in Salt Lake's suburbs (West Valley City) that traces its lineage back to a hockey team in Roanoke, Va (Lancers and one time Rebels) with a nice logo. They also at one time sported my favorite team name, Macon Whoopies Quote
