1/26/24 12PMEST Washington Wizards @ Detroit Pistons

Recommended Posts

This nooner precedes a night home game for the Wings followed by tomorrow's 2pm Piston game?  Granted, tomorrow's night game was moved up a few hours due to some other athletic activity that might be capturing Detroit's fancy.  But the LCA "field crew" is going to be a little busy this weekend.

Picking on Duren here because he just did it.  But the entire team does this and it just mind boggling.

Duren stood there waiting for a rebound with his man a good 2-3 feet behind him.  He didn't back up and close that gap between him and Gafford.  Of course the rebound is long and Gafford grabs it with ease.  Back into him and then you get that long rebound and if it comes off short you just step up and grab it.  Always have your body on a man when a shot goes up.

Duren and Ivey have both regressed this season.  I have to believe coaching has something to do with that.

And when you read NBA trade rumors, its seems like Ivey is the guy other teams want (knowing Cade is not even worth asking about).  Probably an indicator of some coaching issues like you say.

Didn't see the play but I notice that alot with this team, there are just so many things they do wrong fundamentally, it's like even if they did have talent they'd still be a bad team just cause of how many mistakes they make or things that they do right.

I want to blame it on the coaching and certainly that has to play a part but these are NBA players that have played at high levels of basketball their whole lives, some of the things they do wrong you should have picked up and learned years ago. I guess you could argue that maybe if the coaches instilled it in them they'd do it more but idk.

andre never learned and for all his gaudy rebound stats, he was not very good at boxing out or post defense.  he's just big.

he could have been so much better.

hopefully duren learns.

lol at that Jones flop.  Pathetic the Pistons have to challenge that to reverse the charge call.

Jones’ shadow’s chin took the brunt of that elbow.  Cunningham barely even moved his arm.  Such a weak call.
