LOL people are so stubborn to criticize Campbell that they still can't give credit for a decision that worked as intended and gave the Lions an additional possession and score.

It was the wrong call. Yes, he got lucky the Vikings didn't convert the extra play into a TD. So we'll give Campbell credit that Zimmer is almost as bad as he is.

He didn't intend them to get a first down then stop them later.  He called it to stop them on that set of downs and it failed.  Otherwise he would have called one after the Jefferson passes.  He got lucky that the Vikings are stupid.

If Vikings converted that 2 point conversion, it would have been a tie game if Campbell didn't call a timeout and get an extra score.

Of course we would be up 4 in that scenario if he had called another and we scored a TD rather than kicking a FG on 3rd down.

3rd and 10, might as well run it.  Campbell tries so hard not to lose that the lions end up losing. 0-10-1 and you’re out here handing the damn ball off.  Coach to win. Stop coaching to not lose.

He tries so hard not to lose but you bitch when he's aggressive and tries to get an extra possession and score in the half.

The right decision was to score no points instead of getting an extra possession and points.

The Vikings got the first down immediately after the timeout.  It made it a wrong decision right then and there.

Its like driving your car into a lake and arguing it was the right decision because you were going swimming anyway.

But why not do it even more right and score a TD?  Strange.  Everyone else has agreed he lucked into a positive result.

He called a timeout for the other team earlier in the season and it led to a TD that cost us a game. Poor clock management and poor in-game management. Just a below average coach.

The result of that timeout made it more probable that the Vikings would score. Not the lions.  He got lucky.  It’s that simple.
