There's a strong possibility it might come back to bite them. Virginia tends to vote 60-40. A 7-4 split might be tolerable to most folks. 10-1 might possibly be a bit hard to swallow. It's also a temporary fix That said 5 Republican leaning states have redrawn their lines, with Florida and Georgia about to follow suit. AND Elections are stll controlled by the states not the Federal government. My vote has already been cast, just waiting until April. The wife and I already voted earlier this week. My sense is that the money pouring into the state over this is being spent in a lot of different ways. One clear way is Facebook is full of bots and trolls for the "No" vote. Meanwhile youtube is 100% for it at least my feed is. 1 Quote
Motown Bombers Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Once again, it will be Dem voters unilaterally disarming themselves. Dem voters pushed for redistricting commissions. Only blue states did while red states did what they wanted. It was the purity 15 years ago. Quote

CMRivdogs Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Latest propaganda from my CongressCritter, (Owned by Newport News Shipyard, which is not even in his district) Quote Dear Friends and Neighbors, This tax season, you can expect to keep more of your paycheck as the Working Families Tax Cuts provides historic tax relief for Americans. This year, the Working Families Tax Cuts make permanent a doubled standard deduction — offering a direct, ongoing tax benefit for the majority of Americans. 90% of American taxpayers utilize the standard deduction. Additionally, key provisions from the 2017 tax cuts have been made permanent, such as lower tax rates and brackets. Notably, more than 94% of middle-income working families will receive a tax cut. You may notice an increase in take-home pay and tax refunds this year. Policies like no tax on tips or overtime can be claimed through the new Schedule 1-A — meaning more of your paycheck belongs to you. What this means for Virginians: bigger paychecks and bigger refunds. Your paycheck belongs to you — not bureaucrats in Washington. I am proud to have supported the Working Families Tax Cuts to ensure that you and your family aren’t burdened this tax season. Sincerely, Rob Wittman Member of Congress, Virginia’s 1st District Notice therevis nothing about his 100% voting record supporting the Trump Cartel Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago These allegations against Congressman Eric Swalwell of sexual misconduct and the rape of a women who was his former staffer are very serious and very ugly. I do believe women when they say they were sexually harassed, assaulted, or raped. I believe women have benevolent silenced and abused by our justice system not believing them. I also believe in the fundamentalist right of innocent, until proven guilty. Eric Swalwell deserves his day in court and a fair, speedy trial as anyone would get. That said, given the nature of these sexual assault allegations and the numerous allegations of sexual misconduct made against him, I hope he drops out of the California Governor's race and leaves Congress. The guy looks like a real, womanizing, scumbag and piece of ****. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago If Platner stays in his race, so should Swalwell. Quote
