CMRivdogs Posted Thursday at 06:50 PM Posted Thursday at 06:50 PM RE No Kings Protest... Part of JVL's missive today... Quote But from where I sit, this Saturday looks like it carries the potential to become an event so massive that it becomes impossible to predict what follows. Let me ask you: What happens if the U.S. military opens fire on American civilians? I don’t think this nightmare scenario is likely to happen, but it is possible. And it would come in a context of incredible historical density: An American president has created a secret, masked police force that is engaged in snatching people off the streets. The president has wielded this force in such a way as to make their actions as lawless and confrontational as possible. He has used this force specifically to target areas and populations controlled by the opposition party. When these decisions caused backlash, he mobilized the National Guard against the wishes of the state to which they belong. He then deployed Marines into civilian areas. All of this took place as he was simultaneously assembling materiel in the nation’s capital for a show of military force. And holding a political rally in front of cheering soldiers, designed to show where the military’s loyalty lies. Days before marching his military—not the nation’s—through the streets of the capital. While millions of citizens simultaneously plan to protest these actions in a coordinated manner across the country. Oh, and one last thing: This president has, for years, openly thirsted for the opportunity to have his military visit violence on American citizens. So what happens in Trump gets the Kent State he has always wanted? https://www.thebulwark.com/p/kent-state-and-the-event-horizon-gravity-density-black-holes-june-14-trump-parade-no-kings?utm_campaign=email-post&r=45wcm&utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email Quote

Mr.TaterSalad Posted Thursday at 07:30 PM Posted Thursday at 07:30 PM That women shot and murdered her own damn dog and MAGA didn't bat an eye. So I'm sure the dog killer supporters won't care what happened to Senator Padilla. I'm sure they'll celebrate it, just like they celebrated a dog killing Secretary of DHS being appointed. Quote
slothfacekilla Posted Thursday at 07:30 PM Posted Thursday at 07:30 PM This is absolutely insane. Anybody who supports this regime is a traitor to this country and the Constitution. If only these people were capable of feeling shame. 2 1 Quote
GalagaGuy Posted Thursday at 07:49 PM Posted Thursday at 07:49 PM Being honest, this whole Padilla incident is a bit ridiculous. Dude showed up to a press conference and started shouting and screaming to disrupt it. Of course he's going to be removed. Noem is a despicable piece of trash but it's not like she spotted Padilla sitting there peacefully and ordered him taken out back and executed. 1 Quote

He was asking a question, which is perfectly within his purview as a United States senator doing oversight. 2 Quote

Had this been Padilla holding a press conference and Noem walked in and started shouting questions, you'd be here defending her getting tossed and you know it. This silly ass hypocrisy in politics is half the problem. 1 Quote

Noem is not a sitting senator and Padilla is not with the DHS, so get out of here with the both sides ****. I wouldn’t want any US senator to be thrown to the ground and cuffed in this situation. The DHS said they reacted this way because they didn’t know who he was, which is a total lie. He outted who he was over and over, and Noem knows who he is very well. He’s the top Democrat on the judiciary subcommittee for immigration. None of this passes the smell test. 1 Quote

The entire thing is nonsense, find something actually worth being outraged about. Also, this wasn't DHS, it was FBI and Secret Service. Quote

This is beyond the pail, and folks that think this is normal and OK are FULLY the problem. Quote

Beto didn't resist the officers and didn't start pushing and shoving, trying to remain in the room. The fact that he got an extra 30 seconds before leaving doesn't mean Padilla is in the right for resisting efforts to escort him out of the room. Quote
RedTeamGo! Posted Thursday at 09:12 PM Posted Thursday at 09:12 PM It’s almost as if the officer in Texas did not escalate the situation immediately. It honestly blows my mind you can watch those two videos and say the officers did the same thing Quote
