I've only seen clips, but it's striking how sloppy the whole production is... If a Russian parade were planned and it went off like this, one of Putin's associates would be throwing the organizer off of a balcony

None of this matters at all.  The right wing politicians and media are going to tell us that the parade was the greatest celebration in US history and MAGA world will eat it up.

If it's supposed to be a military parade honoring the Army, why the pre-recorded rock music. Come on guys any parade planner with his/her salt should at least give us marches. 
 

Can the CCR and give us Sousa, Karl King (circus marches better fit this farce), Edwin Bagley, at the very least John Williams.

My wife says no-one ever heard any the lyrics to R&R songs. Maybe she's right. I remember GM once ran a series of commercials, for Cadillac I think,  over the Who's "Eminence Front" they cut it off before the got to the lyric, the chorus of which is "It's a put on", which is of course the perfect sentiment for any advertising! But yeah - total oblivion sometimes.

[adjusts glasses] Its a M4 Sherman with what looks like the 76mm gun which had better anti-armor capabilities than the original 75mm gun.

who the heck keeps a piece of WW2 ordinance running? Is there some group out there that reconditions old tanks like the Yankee Airforce had once refurbed a B17?

Oh friend...no offense intended...you are a sweet summer child to this entire world of gearheads who geek over these old tanks. 

One very interesting place in particular i've visited in the UK is the Tank Museum.  A friend and I send each other gear from their gift shop each Christmas.  Very dorky indeed.

Another place I believe in Florida is run by a bunch of US armor aficionados who are led by Rabbi Rob an actual ordained rabbi apparently.

LOL - I knew there are a lot of statics around, but keeping  obsolete tanks in condition to run down the street on the Mall takes a second level of obsession (or some Russians - 🤣). Am I correct that Shermans were usually gasoline fueled? - That's at least less expensive engine up-keep than keeping old diesels running.

Some of the UK tanks are running biodiesel as I recall.   Probably not spec.
