What happens when they order the secret service to arrest Barack Obama?  Seriously.  What procedures are there in place to stop that from happening?  You don't think it can happen?

Or he just issues an order or they smuggle a law through that says former POTUS don't get protection anymore.

In a way, I kind of want that to happen.  He continuously throws out allegations at Obama and calls him a crook which only enforces it to his side.  If he arrests Obama, they need to present their findings in a public forum.  If you have nothing, it will be made clear. 

Plus arresting Obama sets a precedence that Trump doesn't want, he doesn't want the courts to have any authority over a former President.  So ultimately, Trump will not have him arrested, IMO.  But I hope someone will goad him into it.

Didn't the Trumps Supreme Court already rule that Presidents are immune from their actions while in office? 

They have also seemed to lean toward excusing Trump from his out of office actions. Part of the Court's CalvinBall thinking with Trump. It's now DonaldBall, he can do no wrong

To the extent that there's any broad strategy to going after John Bolton, its that of a class of public intellectual that is anti-Trump, he's one that's unlikely to engender any sympathy on *either* side. Conservatives don't like him because he's on the wrong side of Donald Trump, Dems don't like him because of Iraq. Pretty straight forward stuff, he's an easy target

Barack Obama is probably the most well liked and well respected political figure in this country, outside of maybe his wife.... his approval ratings consistently are in the high 50s-low 60s. It would be moronic to try to go after Obama, and to the extent that he's already losing the public due to everything going on, it would only exacerbate the bleeding IMO. 

That said, this is Donald Trump we're talking about.... between the authoritarianism and the fact that he's clearly diminishing cognitively, the fact that you cannot rule out him doing something that stupid makes is equal parts unnerving and embarrassing as an American.

Would just add to the last part, given the focus on Biden's age and his cognitive abilities during the last couple of years of his Presidency, the fact that Trump's isn't being talked about more really sticks out.

Setting aside the content of what he said with the FIFA head (and how insane he sounded), he also looked old and out of it.

I'm pretty sure that by the time this happens, they won't need to present ****. The people will have been conditioned to the unsubstantiated arrests of opposition officials before they get up to Obama, Hillary, the remains of Biden, and the rest of them.
