I told my father (MAGA) that I will NEVER call Trump a good president. He attempted a coup against the Constitution of the United States. He is a TERRIBLE president, by U.S. Democracy, and MANY other standards. But I also told him... "I hope, somehow, some way, Trump does the right thing for the country." He has ****ed our farmers, again, with his tariff wars. He is ****ing the middle class, with the tariffs themselves. They are REGRESSIVE taxes, AGAINST the middle class and poor. the top 5% are HARDLY affected by tariffs. Amongst many, many many other evils and terrible harms he has inflicted upon this country. . . . But I don't think any president is 100% bad or 100% good. I'll give him credit for working this out. Israel got all of its hostages back. That's a positive. How this works out in the future, for Gaza, no one knows... But if there are no more terrorist attacks from Gazans/Hamas and they can rebuild their territory (country for those who wish to use that) and lead better lives in the future, without inflicting or suffering harm to others... That also is a positive. (But unknown at this point). Just my fair, and balanced... 2 cents. 1 Quote
Tigermojo Posted October 13 Posted October 13 The corruption has been really out in the open since Trump got his get out of jail free card. Imagine what is going on behind the scenes. Did Trump make peace? No. Qatar made peace by making peace more valuable than war. How? By bribing Trump into selling out Americans. It's never about peace and war with the far right. It's always about money and power. 2 Quote

pfife Posted October 14 Posted October 14 So was it a lie when trump and magaloloc said the troops were getting paid or is magalolic lying now when he poasts that they aremt gettting paid? Trump finds money for Argentina and Hamas but only finds lies for our troops. Lolic and Archief voted for that Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted October 14 Posted October 14 (edited) Everyday Health: More U.S. States Declare Measles Outbreaks Amid Declining Vaccination Rates Anti-vax HHS Secretary RFK Jr. has railed against vaccines and built a network of anti-vaccination influencers through his Children's Defense Fund. In-particular, his Children's Defense Fund has warned parents not to vaccinate their children against the measles. RFK Jr. for years has created misinformation regarding vaccinations and created many parents who were vaccines skeptics due to his scientifically unproven rhetoric. As a result of declining vaccination rates, in-part because of the actions and rhetoric of our anti-vax HHS Secretary RFK Jr,. more kids are getting sick from vaccine-preventable diseases like measles. I guess that's what people voted for. "I see somebody on a hiking trail carrying a little baby and I say to him, better not get them vaccinated." - HHS Secretary RFK Jr. They voted for this . . . And voted for this . . . And voted for this . . . Edited October 14 by Mr.TaterSalad Quote
Netnerd Posted October 14 Posted October 14 My dad lost all hearing in one ear as a toddler from a disease like this, before vaccines were available. That's the world the "Children's Defect Fund" wants, I guess. The question is, will we accept this? 1 Quote

Mr.TaterSalad Posted October 14 Posted October 14 37 minutes ago, LaceyLou said: Next they'll want to bring back smallpox. Many MAGA Republicans (not all are anti-vaxxers) believe that the choice is between small pox or some disease and a child being autistic. Vaccines do not cause autism as the science has proven and reasonable people understand. But now that we have an anti-science and anti-vax HHS Secretary in RFK Jr., that fact is being made less clear and disinformation is being brought to the forefront. First, we were told that it was thimerosal in vaccines that caused autism by RFK Jr. And out of an abundance of caution, thimerosal was taken out of most childhood vaccines. Autism rates still didn't decline after that occurred because it was likely never the cause. Now, we're told it's Tylenol that causes autism. The damage is done though and it's only getting worse with an anti-vaxxer like RFK Jr. running HHS. 1 Quote
