I have no clue who this guy voted for. Hopefully not Trump. But you're seeing the negative economic consequences of Trump's tariffs and on farmers and rural Americans all over the country. They need to pull themselves up by the bootstraps. I hope they lose everything. They voted for Trump three times and would vote for him a 4th time. Tigerbomb13 Posted October 22 Posted October 22 I don’t see this breaking through at all for people that voted for him. He could make it the Brown House and drop feces on it, and that wouldn’t matter. Quote

Mr.TaterSalad Posted October 22 Posted October 22 I think there is an outside shot that this breaks through with independent voters, as well as with voters MB mentioned with the people who sat out 2024 or went Biden to Trump. Most voters don't follow the news daily like we all do. So there are a lot of voters that just won't know what's happening to the White House. For those that do see the people's house being destroyed, it will be a bad look for any non-hardcore MAGA. Quote

Doesn't matter if they are old, young.... all that matters to republicans today is the grift and the social media "own". I think it's more than that. They want people to suffer, and they want people to die, because that's how they demonstrate their power over the entire country and everything in it, which is quite explicitly their goal. Having the power of ruination and life-or-death over the people is how they maintain their control over everything. The suffering and death are not merely consequences. They are tools. Related to this, there's zero advantage to the republicans for everyone to be prosperous, despite their promises, and I'm including the red hats themselves, because prosperous people have the luxury of free time to complain and protest and push back and work to kick the scoundrels out if they become unhappy with them, which inevitably always happens. Abolish the middle class, demote them to working class status, put the working class on the constant edge of starvation, and they'll be too focused on getting by day to day to think about luxury items like protesting and voting and upending the current political order. I believe that's the thinking on the inside, anyway. I guess we'll see how far they are allowed to get along with that. 1 Quote

Yes, it is the act of a dangerous person who will destroy things if things are not going his way. 1 Quote
