It will go away as soon as they kill the next person. The murder of Renee Good isn't being talked about as much since the latest murder.

Once they get active combat going with the MN Guard

So he wasn't legally carrying and that is how they are going to try and get out of it?  ICE didn't know he was illegally carrying when they shot him.  Even if they did, that doesn't mean you get to shoot him.

Exactly.  They shot him when he clearly wasn’t a threat.

I think it’s fair to assume everybody at the January 6 picnic wasn’t carrying legally.  But that event gets glossed over.

Liberation Day blew over, but the decline in approval rating remained. Same with the occupation of Los Angeles, which was the moment they went started losing approval on immigration.

They believe a lot of things. They think a lot of things. But what they believe and, you know, actual reality are not necessarily the same thing.

According to this the NRA was in favor of reforms until 2A Activists pulled a coup in 1977 known as the Cincinnati revolt

The NRA experienced its defining moment during the 1977 annual meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio, which historians call the “Cincinnati Revolt.” The NRA leadership intended to move the organization to Colorado while shifting its focus toward recreational shooting and decreasing political involvement.

Harlon Carter and Neal Knox, together with other reform-oriented members, fought against the planned organizational direction. The group successfully took control of the board of directors through grassroots efforts to redirect the NRA toward strong Second Amendment protection.

Key outcomes of the Cincinnati Revolt:

  • Creation of the Institute for Legislative Action (ILA): This became the NRA’s official lobbying and political arm.
  • Increased Political Spending: The NRA began contributing heavily to candidates and mobilizing its membership for elections.
  • Shift in Messaging: The NRA increasingly framed gun ownership as a fundamental constitutional right rather than a recreational activity.

I'm old enough to remember NRA gun education classes when I was young, mostly promoting recreation and hunting.

Was just looking at the Sig sauer website.  That gun was not one you just happen to buy.  Very top of the line.  No wonder the NRA is outraged.  ICE killed a customer!

A coup led by former Border Patrol leader Harlan Carter, a gutter racist who as a teenager had shot and killed a Mexican kid in cold blood.
