Oil fields, large industrial processes, supply chains all take time to start back up once damaged. Futures markets are already telling us that the expectation is that oll prices are not coming back down for months even if the fighting ends tomorrow. 1 Quote

Ike, maybe not so much. Definitely not the Bushes. I'm 50-50 on Reagan, too. Quote

Have you shared your unique background with anyone? I would think they'd be very impressed that a staunch conservative (in the truest sense of the word) such as yourself would have abandoned the party over the fat orange bastard so quickly. Quote

Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise. I know, I've tried to deal with them.” ― Barry Goldwater 3 1 Quote

I'm 50-50 on Reagan, too. Read up on his wiki page. I don’t think Goldwater would have went along. He consistently spoke out against the religious right and in tne 80s and 90s said the party had been taken over by kooks. Quote

I spoke to a woman for over an hour whose dad was an Air Force officer and she and i were fixated on how the system used to have rules. You abided by them and you could have a career even if you were a Dominican Republic immigrant as her dad was. Spoke to a buckeye fan and commiserated about the angst we had on the day of The Game and how we felt that way all the time now but in a bad way. Spoke to a bunch of vets. Had another long chat with a dude about Andor (see the Nemik quote poster above “Opression is the mask of fear”) Quote
