Never mind that, what about this?? Pay attention to this, not that!

This is so dumb.

The games behind a streaming paywall now used to be the 5th game on CBS at 4:00 and unavailable to be watched outside of their local markets.

The impact it has is the whole ballgame. It's the only reason to even have this discussion in the first place.

Who cares what some left-wing loonspud with 116 followers says? Do you regard them as representative of the Democratic Party? I sure don't. Certainly not in the same way right wing social media with massive followings represents the Republican Party, spouting lies and disinformation that not only directly influence actual policy being made by the Trump administration, but they've actually infiltrated our government. That, my friend, is impact worth discussing.

Show me anyone on the left like that, then let's talk about it.

I dont see most of the MAGA misinformation posts. It must be the algorithm since I've blocked so many of the liars. And TBH, I'm seeing less of the left lies because of blocking so many of the total liars. So when I show you one from a small account, it's just one that got thru to my feed. Like I've said, I mostly see music, sports and animals. And thats fine, I dont need lies to make me dislike (hate) MAGA more that I already do. And, as I originally said, I dont like seeing people on the left resorting to the MAGA level and...lying. It makes me respect their position much less. And the liars earn a block from me. The 2 I showed you tonight? Freshly blocked.

FirstnameBunchanumbers is now "the left"?

Im left AF and i have no idea who that is and who ordained him to speak for me

So you say somebody on the left has to use his real name and be approved to speak for you to be considered "on the left?" I dont let anyone speak for me, ever. They may express their opinion and it may or may not align with my opinion. Most of the time, if I disagree, I'll just keep scrolling. If it's something I agree with, I'll give it a like and repost it. That doesnt mean they speak for me, just that our opinions or beliefs line up. But whatever, I dont like lies from any one, on either side. And to be honest, I have reposted things that turned out to be lies but not intentionally. I just got fooled into believing a lie.

Donald Trump and MAGA are going to plant a false flag to try to declare martial law and postpone the midterm elections, IMO. Maybe it will be a fake terrorist attack on America soil, which Trump will falsely blame on immigrants that Joe Biden let into the country. Trump knows Republicans are going to get slaughtered if elections are allowed. And that it will lead to his impeachment. And if the bag of fat lives long enough, eventually prison. Where he belongs....

"There's no misinformation from the left" is a helluva stance to take amidst a flood of social posts from Brian Tyler Cohen.

Nuance is missing here.

I never said there is zero misinformation—or more exactly, disinformation—from the left. I’m talking about scale and influence, the kind of scale and influence the biggest right-wing disinformation-spewing social media personalities have on actual policy-making within the American president's administration. Prove to me that same thing exists to that scale on the left, then you’ll have my attention.

That’s totally fine. I absolutely get your desire to keep your feed free of the nonsense. Makes total sense. I would assume that folks who avoid political social media might lack a keen sense of the scale of left wing social media influence versus that from the right wing, and assume that the existence of both means they are equivalent. They are not.

Nobody is saying it's on the same scale.

The social media debates are all just sub-text to the more important question though, which is do the people asking for, vying for your support see any intrinsic value in truth over falsehood? The answer in many cases on both side is, sadly, no. However the big difference is that today, there is NO ONE on the right side in office or running for office who can possible have any remaining regard for truth, it's a logical impossibility to reconcile even a shred of regard for the intrinsic value of truth and still be within a 1000 miles of the today's national GOP. It's just not reconcilable - whether we are talking political truth, scientific truth, journalistic truth, any kind of truth. There are plenty of liars on the Democratic side, but there is still some basic nod to truth in the Democratic party, and that difference is all the difference in the world right now.

Agreed. And when Trump calls out media folks as "fake news", it's mostly because they tell the truth about the crap he's trying to get away with. Like him declaring the Russian election interference "the Russian Hoax" and that he was totally exonerated? It was the opposite. It said he couldn't be cleared. And couldn't be brought up on charges since he was POTUS. The same with the Epstein files. There's no documents clearing anyone but once some of the files were released, he declared they showed he wasn't involved. Even though he was mentioned 1000s of times in the files. And anyone reporting actual facts were/are "fake news." A couple of expressions fit...repeat a lie over and over and it becomes a truth. And..you can fool all of the people some of the time but you can't fool all the people all of the time.
