I think it’s clear from this hearing, it’s clear the GOP is on the side of pedophiles. Not the side of history I’d want to be on if I were still on board at this point.

Losing PR battles on an issue like this is very hard to do if you have nothing to hide, or at least, the data contains things you don't care gets out.

I think Republicans miscalculated how little Democrats would care if Bill Clinton were in the files or another prominent Democrat. They assumed Democrats would circle the wagons around Clinton like they do with Trump.
