Deleterious Posted September 13, 2025 Posted September 13, 2025 Before people freak out about an assistant coach driving a Rolls-Royce. He was a hedge fund manager for years before beginning his coaching career. Quote
GalagaGuy Posted September 13, 2025 Posted September 13, 2025 I know it's Central but Michigan still looks like a better team without Moore. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted September 13, 2025 Posted September 13, 2025 Nice scrimmage game. Not very competitive but a nice practice. Quote
romad1 Posted September 13, 2025 Author Posted September 13, 2025 Biff Poggi seems like a very Mike Leach-ie interview. Quote
buddha Posted September 13, 2025 Posted September 13, 2025 if michigan can play like that against nebraska, can we fire moore? Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 Did Biffe call plays today because the playcalling was great and the offense fired on all cylinders. Their downfall passing attack looked really good and Underwood looked like a #1 recruit. Quote

romad1 Posted September 15, 2025 Author Posted September 15, 2025 I always wondered what people saw in Biff Poggi. I had heard/read the name a lot.. Seems Michigan have a significant portion of the fanbase with the hippy weirdo sense that they need someone eccentric running things? For my part, I think Sherrone will be fine. Quote
Deleterious Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 What a horrific coaching mistake not taking the timeout to make them punt. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 Was screaming at the TV for Michigan to call a timeout after the 3rd down for that very reason. Inexcusable not to do it. Quote
Deleterious Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 This kid is a threat to score every time he touches the ball. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 I may be being hyperbolic due to it just happening but seriously one of the worst things I have ever seen from a head coach in terms of timeout usage. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 Who is the Center for Michigan - he is having one hell of a game. And all the yappin Matt Rhule did over Michigan stealing plays (which they absolutely did), he sure hasn't answered that bell. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 And Hillman has to act like an ass and get a taunting call after a GREAT 3rd down tackle. Moronic as it comes. Quote
lordstanley Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 This was a lopsided 3-point win. 1 Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 There just might be hope for Michigan football this year after all. I thought they look good today on both sides of the ball. The hail mary BS aside, their defense looked really good. The front 7 was aggressive and attacked with a pass rush that got home all day. I hadn't realized we were up to 7 sacks today, so damn impressive outing by the front 7. Maybe it turns out that Nebraska just isn't that good in the end. But this felt luke a big win for Michigan. A win that sends a statement to others in the Big Ten that we've got a good team that you'll need to respect and take seriously. If I'm Ryan Day I'm certainly dropping a few F bombs and am worried now. You couldn't beat Michigan when they were limping around last year, watch out this year. 1 Quote

Our defense was very impressive, especially considering it was on the road. 7 sacks with several other TFL plays. I love a dominating UM defense. Nebraska had a few fluke plays, I call them lucky. And our running game will have to be respected, that should open up more pass plays for Underwood. Quote
romad1 Posted September 21, 2025 Author Posted September 21, 2025 Biff is a heck of an interview. Quote
buddha Posted September 21, 2025 Posted September 21, 2025 3-1 with luke "tater's favorite" fickell coming to town. Quote

I'm quite surprised by the lack of success Wisconsin has had with Fickell. The guy had multiple, double-digit win seasons at Cincinnati. He recruited NFL talent at multiple positions, across multiple seasons. He just hasn't put together great recruiting classes yet, nor done anything noteworthy on the field. He seems stuck in neutral at Wisconsin. Quote

He would have a pass first offense that recruited NFL QB and WR talent and some OL would want to be part of that. They would destroy a lot of mid B1G teams but would lack the minerals to run the ball at key times and would lose occasionally to teams that had very good front 7s. He'd say something stupid about hanging 100 on the team up north and then spend the next half decade not even getting to 100 in the games played against that opponent. He would have his brother start a sting operation involving a player on the team up north's special teams acting as an inside man. I can see this, yes. Quote
buddha Posted September 22, 2025 Posted September 22, 2025 anyone can win at osu nowadays. money machine works in the open now instead of behind the scenes. Quote
