Well, Trump used to be a Democrat and wanted more for himself so that checks out. Once they get more for themselves, they turn Republican so others can't get more.

I traced Obama's rise to the actress Jeri Ryan. She was married to a guy who was going to run against him in Illinois for Senate.  But there was some kind of scandal where they got divorced because she said he wanted her to go to some sex club in Paris, so he dropped out.  

Bush's rise could be traced to Bud Selig.  After Fay Vincent was fired some wanted him to become commissioner.  He was also being wooed to run for Governor.  It was Bud who was pushing him for Commish but when George asked Vincent (who was a Bush family friend b/c he was a roommate of their uncle) he was told that if Bud was leading it, it was some kind of trap, he wanted the job for himself.  So he ran for Governor instead.

This sounds like a MAGA defense of Trump.  There is nothing honorable about him at all.  He walked around the miss teen dressing room and bragged about it on the radio.  I doubt he's ever been out on a real date.  He buys women and marries the ones who he thinks can give him prestige.

So Dems, do not try to stop Elmo and Dump from attacking each other so we can focus on policy. No one cares!

David Plouffe joined Harris campaign and muzzled Walz and his weird schtick which was working. He then blamed the loss on Biden. Dems need to get rid of the Obama bros and let guys like Walz use their folksy charm. I'm not even sure if policy mattered in 1993 either. Clinton won his fair share on his charisma.

Not really, just a reality check on the fact that Trump opponents keep hoping/believing there is something out there that will finally bring him down if they could only find it/get it out. Probably not there, partly because Trump has always had a pretty good idea how not to cross certain lines or at least how to get others to cross them for him and I believe partly because he does like to project more of an image than he is.

I can't tell you if it made a difference or not, but B. Clinton did talk policy and policy goals and strategies all the time. He got nicknamed "the great explainer" for good reason. OTOH, folksy charm was definitely also a B. Clinton calling card, and one thing H. Clinton missed on big time when the cards were dealt.

I don't disagree that he is extremely image conscious.  He is also very good at convincing people that the image he projects for himself is real.  I disagree that he knows how not to cross lines.  He crosses many lines (like the attempted coup), but gets away with stuff with lawsuits, wealth or doing something even more absure the next day.  Or like you said, he lets someone else take the blame. 

His fake tough guy routine is not real and we know that because there are no examples of him actually being a tough guy. His image of himself as a playboy who is able to get any woman he wants is also fake, but there are many examples of him being accused of crossing the line there.  It's why he bought all the beauty pageants and why he's has been accused by dozens of women of abuse.

Clinton was a pig, but he was a smart pig!  We have had presidents who were stupid and presidents who were pigs, but I think Trump is the one president who has excelled in both traits!
