Mr.TaterSalad Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I go back to Johnson's call of Jack Sawyer interception at the goal line against Michigan as one of the best examples of how bad and obnoxious Gus can be. Quote

It just sounds bad for one. It also makes him sound like he's in the bag for them too. 2 hours ago, buddha said: welcome to the club. Maybe I just don’t watch enough college football to have hated it sooner. I was watching Illinois-USC earlier and I just thought he was being straight obnoxious. No dog in that fight. I would think it’s a “when you win it’s great” thing because I loved the “O JA BO” bit, but even last year in Columbus, the pearl clutching about the flag was absurd, and it was as if he wanted Ohio State to win that game. Like it fit his pre-planned narrative better. Quote

buddha Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Alabama has consistently been a top 5 program the entire time smart has been at georgia. its not too much of a surprise that his record has been poorer against them. the last couple of losses have stung though. Quote

It's still crazy considering in that time Georgia has been as good if not better than Alabama. Smart having three national titles and 1 win against Alabama is wild. Quote

Deleterious Posted October 3 Author Posted October 3 Who is ready for that road trip to Saudi Arabia? I would be shocked if Michigan or OSU signed something that blocked a path to a super league. Sources: Big Ten discussing $2 billion private capital deal Quote The discussions include a 10-year extension of the league's grant of rights until 2046, sources told ESPN, which would ensure long-term stability in the Big Ten. According to sources, the private capital deal and grant of rights extension have been discussed for months and presented in multiple forms. A deal and the grant of rights extension would also be a distinct blow to the outside entities attempting to form super leagues around college sports. While there is support from nearly the entire league, according to sources, a few of the league's biggest brands -- including Ohio State and Michigan -- are still in discussions with the league. The aim is to have unanimous support before a vote, sources told ESPN. Quote

Warde better know what he's doing because he probably has no effective informed oversight right now. Quote
buddha Posted October 3 Posted October 3 i'd be surprised if the top tier of the big ten: michigan, ohio state, and to a lesser degree penn state and maybe u$c agreed to such a plan. unless their vision of the future is a tiered plan like the acc implemented or they figure the future "super league" entails big ten v sec. michigan and ohio state outdraw everyone else by a pretty large margin. especially osu. if youre maryland, purdue, or northwestern, you better hope the big 2 dont leave. they may just give them what they want to make them stay. IDK. I think it's possible there could be some kind of spit between the big AAU schools - which the Big10 mostly is, and the rest - in effect mostly the SEC - where you have two different competing 'super conferences'. I say possible, I'm not going to say it's likely , but still possible just because of the long standing habit of the B10 centered schools wanting to do things differently. Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted October 4 Posted October 4 James Franklin putting on a bad coaching clinic today. Horrible 4th and 2 call with a minute left. Then do not rush the punter, who stood in the end zone letting seconds tick away while taking a Safety. Penn State could still win this, but man some bad stuff. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted October 4 Posted October 4 When I saw at the start of the season that Penn State was ranked #3........I thought NAH Then when they went to #2, I thought NOPE They proved it today. Bye-Bye Top 10. Franklin, man. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Penn State still has Ohio State and Indiana left so they very easily could end up with 4 or more losses. Quote
