IdahoBert Posted October 27 Posted October 27 I guess Max is the Blue Jays starter for game three. I don’t particularly have anything against players that are traded away or leave through free agency, but I am resentful at the success they enjoy elsewhere and experience it as a betrayal, even though it’s not. So I am all for Max tonight although I don’t think I’ll watch the game and I’ll just probably peek in here and there. 1 Quote

I hope I am wrong Quote

guy incognito Posted October 28 Posted October 28 This game has had one of the most egregious strike-that-wasn’t-a-strike calls you will ever see. ABS can’t come fast enough. 1 Quote

When Gibson hit his famous WS homer for the Dodgers, I was watching it on my parents’ bedroom TV with my brother and one of his friends who was spending the night with us. While the three of us were going bonkers, my dad poked his head in to see, said “Gibson.” in a tune of absolute disgust, and left us to it. Quote

Still, Bichette has to be smarter on the base path, and the base coach has to be on top of it, too. Edited October 28 by casimir Quote
IdahoBert Posted October 28 Posted October 28 When the Blue Jays screwed the pooch and didn’t score in the top of the 2nd, then Hernandez hit that home run for the Dodgers in the bottom of the 2nd, I was really upset until I remembered I don’t actually have to care about this. The sense of freedom in not being obligated to care is a real delight. 1 Quote

I have been starting to realize that not having to care may be the only benefit of growing older. I still have a hard time mastering it though. 1 Quote
IdahoBert Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Alejandro Kirk homers (5) on a fly ball to center field. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. scores. Bo Bichette scores. Can I care? Yes. Carefully though. Quote
IdahoBert Posted October 28 Posted October 28 It’s really neat how the Blue Jays can score runs and not strike out 17 times and just shrug it off. 1 Quote
oblong Posted October 28 Posted October 28 The throw to the plate to get the runner excited me in ways I might be embarrassed to admit. Quote
lordstanley Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Good game. Some big hits, some mistakes. 5-5 going in to the bottom of the 8th. Quote

IdahoBert Posted October 28 Posted October 28 It would be interesting if this game went 16 or 17 innings and ended in some fluke play that was the equivalent of two winos fighting over a bottle of ripple in an alleyway. But I’m not really hoping for that. I don’t wish that upon either of these clubs. But it would be quite a spectacle. Quote
lordstanley Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Go-ahead run thrown out at the plate! This game has had a lot. Quote
papalawrence Posted October 28 Posted October 28 With Vlad on deck that was a tough send. I hate the Dodgers Quote
Hongbit Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Even Joey Cora thought that was stupidly aggressive Quote
guy incognito Posted October 28 Posted October 28 What was that blurb about Goose Goslin? I love when Tigers come up in historical notes. Quote

I should’ve hoped for Uma Thurman or something instead. Quote
