Sports_Freak Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Yankees beating Cleveland. Tigers may go back into 1st place. Great start to the season. Quote
IdahoBert Posted April 23 Posted April 23 So I’m not watching these games on TV so far for the most part so do we have a home run celebration or are we forgoing that? Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted April 23 Posted April 23 The Tigers are getting national attention. On ESPN today they speculated how the Tigers good start might affect the Dallas Cowboys draft. 1 Quote
IdahoBert Posted April 23 Posted April 23 A really satisfying game, regardless of loading the bases in the 1st and getting zilch out of it. Quote

IdahoBert Posted April 23 Posted April 23 The guy on the radio giving us the final round up information just said that the games against the Orioles are going to be in Baltimore and that’s simply not true. He was saying the Tigers would be “on the road.” Then he ended the broadcast saying once again the Tigers would be on the road. This Daniella syndrome in announcers is troubling. Quote

papalawrence Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Wow, I just saw the box score. Too busy today to even follow it online. Can't wait to watch it this eve Quote
IdahoBert Posted April 23 Posted April 23 The Tigers now have the same record as the Yankees 15–10 and the Yankees run differential is only one run better than the Tigers at +31 compared to +30. But our defence has been much better. In 25 games, the Tigers have allowed only 82 runs while the Yankees have allowed 106 in the same number of games. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Talking heads keep calling San Diego the "best team in baseball." No, they aren't. They were the team with the best record but that doesn't make them "the best team." Quote
IdahoBert Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Really happy for Olsen today. What a great game, and Friday we start Mize. Looking forward to the return of Meadows and Vierling almost feels greedy. 1 Quote
IdahoBert Posted April 23 Posted April 23 I just watched Javy’s catch in center and it’s epic! I hope he’s not so pumped up that he swings at balls 2-feet out of the strike zone on Friday. Quote
romad1 Posted April 23 Posted April 23 I have a funny story from my commute home when Dingler hit the HR, whoever was listening on the OnStar heard “There’s your Six runs, Bert!” 1 1 Quote
