Sports_Freak Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Looking at the pitching matchups for this 3 game set? I don't want to jinx the Tigers but Baltimore is really struggling on the mound. Quote
IdahoBert Posted April 25 Posted April 25 The guy who does the general wrap up at the end of the radio broadcast of the last game said this series was taking place in Baltimore and the Tigers were “going on the road.” He said it twice. Since the Tigers don’t have a mega TV contract and do like ticket sales I am presuming he heard about this mistake. Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Are we skipping Jobe in the rotation this time through or is he pitching tomorrow? A certain someone who has tickets for tomorrows game is inquiring…. Quote

lordstanley Posted April 25 Posted April 25 It was only 9 months ago that Baltimore's rebuild was considered to be miles ahead of the Tigers. 4 Quote
IdahoBert Posted April 25 Posted April 25 FYI - Sunday’s game w/Skubal pitching is the free MLB.tv game of the day. Quote
lordstanley Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Anyone interested in old Tigers radio broadcasts, here's two for the price of one. Ernie and Paul calling both games of a Tigers-Orioles twi-night doubleheader in 1979. Wilcox the Game 1 starter, Jack Bellingham for Game 2. Quote

monkeytargets39 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I’m glad Baltimore is getting a reality check. Their trade negotiations seemed especially arrogant in regards to moving prospects. Quote

I don’t tend to pay too much attention to off-season news about other teams. Quote

They still made the playoffs but their lack of pitching did them in. I think maybe the Tigers had offered them Flaherty. Quote

There was talk of them wanting Skubal at one point and the supposed prospect capital that they were willing to part with was laughable Quote

They do have several young good prospects but their lack of pitching, and pitching injuries, are destroying their 2025 season, so far. The pitching matchups this weekend heavily favors the Tigers. This has been a very successful home stand so far. Quote

Sports_Freak Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Well, it was a beautiful day today. 100% chance of rain at game time. The radar looks pretty ugly. Quote
