What happened to Chase Lee? He was lights out for the Tigers until he really wasn’t in a really bad way. His stats in Toledo are horrendous. He’s also a very likable kid. It’s painful to see a collapse like this.

probably on his way to an injured arm. Instability and loss of velo or control often starts before any explicit diagnosis can be/is made.

Yeah, I wonder if a delivery like his places stress upon an arm that a more conventional delivery does not. Of course “conventional” deliveries now stress arms enough as it is. I haven’t seen that he’s on the DL though.

Flores, Faedo, Wentz, Manning, Burrows = whole lotta nothing

Yes, there are many more names to add to this. With said this happens with EVERY organization. More so now than ever before. Unfortunately, it may continue for awhile.

Clubs have to learn more about recovery science. IMHO, playing 162 games a year is too much. If extra innings were still going with no ghost runner at second to start - the number of pitching injuries would be greater still.

Again, IMHO, to start with - Need maybe 28 man rosters (45 overall). Definitely less overall games. 5-6 day rest periods between starts. Look at the weight of the ball as compared to previous decades and more about recovery from workloads.

I am sure there is more than that as well.

His stats in Toledo were terrible before he was called up.

I'm not sure if this is true or not but it's interesting;

Since their promotion, McGonigle has maintained a BB/K >1 in his Erie PAs. Clark has fallen below 1 in his AA PAs, he'll need to pick it up a little if he's going to finish the season >1 overall.

I wondered about that and this is not the first time we’ve seen something like that.

Hinch was asked about that and his response was that he likes different arm slots with the bullpen. Chase's is more Kent Tekulve-esque
