Motor City Sonics Posted Friday at 12:47 PM Posted Friday at 12:47 PM Quite an offensive performance. I don't think that Kerry Carpenter is above getting a demotion if he keeps flailing and guys at Toledo keep hitting. I think Perez got off to a hot start. I think KC will work it out, but maybe he should work it out on the Tony Packo's diet. I don't see them graduating Max Clark just yet, even though he seems to be adjuting very quickly. His OBP is .488. Ignore BA. BA is almost pointless. Jace Jung who had a great spring is only hitting .217 but is OBP is quite good at .357. I don't know who you'd demote to make room for hm, but looking at some of the Tigers ABs in this 4-game losing streak have been downright deflating. Stop trying to hit the ball 500 feet with every swing. We need guys that get on base. I don't care how they do it. Maybe coming to Comerica, which isn't a home run park will temper that a bit and they'll stop swinging like that. It really bothers me that McGonigle's at bats are so much more advanced than our veteran players. I am glad that Colt Keith is starting the season well. He was so bad in April his first two years. Take April out of it for his career and he's .278/.356/.791. That's a very solid bat there. Quote

Tenacious D Posted Friday at 11:30 PM Posted Friday at 11:30 PM I’ll guess he gets at least 40 games in Toledo. He’s coming, though. Quote

RatkoVarda Posted Monday at 01:51 PM Posted Monday at 01:51 PM Max Sat DNP; Sun 2/4, 2B think he has 3 OF assists as well, still needs to improve the 50% ground ball rate, but great start, SSS alert obvi Quote

While he's young and fast he can live with a somewhat higher GB rate - but as hard as he hits the ball, there will be a lot of benefit from getting the ball into the air more because at the EV's he gets, HR's will follow. 1984Echoes Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Interested this year in seeing if any of Pacheco, Strong, or Campos can take a step forward and move up to "real" prospect status, or do they just get stuck in "career minor-leaguer" purgatory... Yet to be determined... (IMO). Quote
