Bad Carp.

Carp should have known better.

But I'm guessing he told Greene: "Couldn't hear you."

That has to be the only explanation... or at least the best one out of all bad choices...

and they give Riley the error. Just another example of why official scoring might as well be scrapped.

Only because it went off HIS glove...

But it was Carp's fault.

The assumption being it was Riley’s ball and he did not call off Carpenter effectively enough.

I’m glad Dan Dickerson is on TV tonight, if for no other reason than I can see halfway decent commercials on the breaks, ambulance chaser spots notwithstanding, and not be bombarded by ads for something called Bet365. (I guess “Bet24/7” was taken or otherwise not allowed.)

They changed the run-scoring error to Carpenter, as if that really matters either way. But I guess they reviewed the video again and lip-read him saying, “I didn’t hear you” after they lip-read Riley shouting and shouting for the ball.

Doing this vs. an 0-5 pitcher! Just feels like an average night in Anaheim the last decade or so..

The Tigers have scored 16 runs in the two innings and 3 in the other 24.
