IdahoBert Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Jack seems justifiably due for a good game where we score enough to win. 1 Quote

Sports_Freak Posted May 16 Posted May 16 I'm not looking ahead but.....I'm looking ahead. Next up is a 3 game series in St. Louis. They're 9-1 in their last 10. Quote
IdahoBert Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Rivalry weekend is here! The Tigers and Blue Jays used to be one but OK. I’m sure, however, that the Padres Mariners series though will be a really hard fought one because they are two fiercely competitive rivals with a long standing tradition of knife fights in alleys, and drive-by shootings. It’s quite a résumé.They’re basically the Crips and the Bloods of the West Coast. someone remind me what the betting odds are. 1 Quote

romad1 Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Rivalry weekend has the same air of historical blood feud as a croquet game and the same quasi religious import as Secretary's Day. Quote

It’s time for him to step up and remind the fan base why ownership brought him back. He’s a top of the rotation guy and tonights a good night to remind the masses. Quote

I don't know the exact details but there's something like a $10m bonus on next year's contract if he gets something like 15 starts this season. Like I said, I don't remember the article I read a few months ago. Quote

The Red Sox had great comebacks in games 2-3 but we broke their will. Tonight will be a different thing and hopefully as good as the last series. 1 Quote

Here's some of the details I've read; "His 2026 salary is $10,000,000, which could increase to $20,000,000 if he makes 15 starts in 2025. RandyMarsh Posted May 16 Posted May 16 So my FB memory today is of me congratulating Miggy on his 400th HR. This was 10 years ago, if you would've told me then that he would only hit 111 more in his career I never would've believed you. 1 1 Quote

IdahoBert Posted May 16 Posted May 16 It’s nice to know that this game has no chance of being delayed by weather issues. Quote

If ever there were a slam-dunk inner-circle first-ballot Hall of Famer who is also a What Could've Been story, it’s Miggy. 1 Quote

I remember basically guaranteeing my father he would end with 3500 hits, 600 HR and 2000 RBI. Quote
IdahoBert Posted May 16 Posted May 16 By the way, every game this weekend is a free game of the day on MLB TV if their schedule is to be believed. Quote
IdahoBert Posted May 16 Posted May 16 I’ll watch this game on the Blue Jays Sportsnet feed just to see what it’s like. For one thing all the announcers are wearing really snappy looking suits instead of polo shirt shirts, and they don’t look like they’ll be yukking it up very much. Quote
IdahoBert Posted May 16 Posted May 16 The Bluejay announcers didn’t go into detail but they say that the Tigers pay acute attention to every detail of the game. Understatement. Quote
