if there was a package of crap like this that Harris could send to Sacramento to get Miller, he would have already made the trade.

I would do Clark and Hamm for Miller

Trading Clark for Miller would be asinine.

That’s nuts in my opinion. A reliever ? Sorry not for me.

Sorry for says nuts. You seem more knowledgeable than me and maybe Miller is a number one starter in hiding. But Clark seems the real deal to me.

Tork is in danger of being traded this offseason.

IMO.

That doesn’t make sense.  Finally contributing and affordable and provides much needed 30 HR power from the RH side?  And no replacement in sight?

I think he’s OK

That was more of a "hot take" than anything...

He's not in imminent danger and I don't view my hot take as an absolute...

The "Ice Age" cold streaks are annoying... What if the Braves decided to trade us Austin Riley and wanted Tork plus Jung plus Montero? Don't laugh... It's the middle of the night and I'm sleep-typing...

SP Alcantara from the Marlins would be interesting...year out from TJ..starting to come around after a rough start

See, this is the one you’d trade a top five not named Clark or McGonigle for. I’m not sure the Marlins are all that savvy when it comes to prospect trades.

Not sure how he can be "highly" overrated. He's fooling all of the prospects sites

I am not agreeing or disagreeing with micro on Briceno, but someone can be ranked high by all prospect sites and still be overrated.  The prospect rankings have a great deal of uncertainty and I think they sometimes copy each other.

He’s a prospect. Most wash out and most won’t even reach their ceilings. However, when they do, it’s exciting, but I doubt anyone can reliably predict who it’s going to be. That’s why you collect as many as you can.

and there is always that level of misdirection between a guy (esp a collegiate) who is attractive because he has a very 'mature' game but in reality is already at his ceiling and ends up not making it, and a guy (esp a prep) who has a lot of holes in his game but still ends up closing all those holes and hitting the higher ceiling.

Hot take: I think the Tigers prospects are better than the players they could be traded for. I'm talking about Melton and Anderson, right off the bat. Melton would be a huge get for the bullpen, or in the rotation.

I agree with this, but don’t agree that Briceno is overrated (though that is a very subjective term).  I think he’s flying a bit under the radar nationally, especially based on what he did in the AFL and offensively in High A.  It seems like he’ll hit, but finding a position might be tricky. That uncertainty makes him a viable trade option if another team values the bat.

I think Melton sees time this season, similar to what they did with Jobe (but sooner).
