Tigers now have a 10.5 game lead over the Guardians, an 11.5 lead over the Twins, and a 12.5 lead over the Royals and the Royals did us the favor of beating the Dodgers today ensuring that we slipped back into a tie with the Dodgers for the best MLB record.

I think the K to end the 6th was one of Casey's better moments as a Tiger. We normally don't think of Mize as a "here it is, hit if you can" guy with his fastball, but he was coming back from 3-0 in that AB.

Yeah that was a nasty pitch, 97 with a lot of arm side run to it. Im guessing the batter was sitting on the splitter so he couldn't pull the trigger but even if he did there wasn't much you could've done with that pitch.
