IdahoBert Posted Thursday at 02:56 PM Posted Thursday at 02:56 PM After the Tigers charged back and had the second game in hand yesterday, the Dark Angel of Regression spread her wings to spoil the celebration. I hope her more amiable sister, the Bright Angel of Moderately Good Fortune slowly wafts down from the heavens like a feather landing gently on a cotton ball to go correct yesterday‘s outrageous maleficence. Sports_Freak Posted Thursday at 03:08 PM Posted Thursday at 03:08 PM Irvin has given up 13 runs in his last 15 2/3 innings. I like our chances. Quote
IdahoBert Posted Thursday at 04:13 PM Posted Thursday at 04:13 PM I was initially looking forward to this as one of those Thursday afternoon early start getaway games but it’s not one of those. I suppose that after a doubleheader yesterday, even though it was unplanned, this is probably a good thing. Quote

I wish no lasting ill fortune on any athlete and I hope his deficiencies continue through today and after then I wish him only the best. Quote
oblong Posted Thursday at 04:29 PM Posted Thursday at 04:29 PM when the TIgers lose I get mad and don't want to talk to any of you morans. When they win I want to have a Backyard BBQ with sprinklers, jello, and such and such. Quote

When the Tigers lose, I’m pretty much the same, even though I come here when I’m feeling bad I tend to sulk in the corner like a teenager and mumble things like “you just wouldn’t understand.” Quote

casimir Posted Thursday at 04:39 PM Posted Thursday at 04:39 PM I’ll be honest. The way this season is going, a loss doesn’t move me much. Last night sucked, but it happens, it just ain’t happened much to the Tigers this season. The other thing is, they just have not been in much of a slump and are in complete control of the division. I’d probably live and die harder if they were in danger of the division lead. If they lose today, there’s another game tomorrow. That’s kind of how I’ve looked at it this season. Quote
romad1 Posted Thursday at 04:39 PM Posted Thursday at 04:39 PM As for winning and losing. I wake up each morning thinking about the night before. A little more philosophical during the great years than the crap years (I remember thinking in 1989 when it was all going to crap...but we have Greg Gohr coming), but each day starts with the understanding of the Tiger's place in the Universe and why that matters.
