AI Overview Yes, Detroit is built on land that includes Indigenous burial mounds, specifically the Springwells Mound Group and the Fort Wayne Mound. These mounds date back centuries, predating the French settlement of Detroit in 1701. The mounds were used by various Native American groups for burials and ceremonies. While some mounds were destroyed during development, others have been recognized as sacred sites and are being reclaimed by Native American tribes. Sports_Freak Posted Saturday at 01:15 AM Posted Saturday at 01:15 AM I hate to say it but maybe a blockbuster trade is needed? Maybe trade Greene, Carpenter or Skubal? For a huge, huge return? Or stand pat and hope Hinch can right the ship? I know, crazy talk... Quote
UCFKNIGHT Posted Saturday at 01:35 AM Posted Saturday at 01:35 AM Right now, I might keep Chase Lee, Will Vest and Tarik Skubal but trade or DFA everyone else on this pitching staff. Tigers fans are also seeing what at terrible GM Al Avila was. Matt Manning, Casey Mize, Alex Lange, Bo Brieske, Jace Jung and Spencer Torkelson are all fifth rate players. Quote
HeyAbbott Posted Saturday at 01:38 AM Posted Saturday at 01:38 AM Do we need to send these guys a bus load of Ice Follies skaters, or 2 bus loads of Burbon street Strippers? Quote
UCFKNIGHT Posted Saturday at 01:40 AM Posted Saturday at 01:40 AM (edited) Should AJ and the entire coaching staff be fired? I don't believe this team is going to be in the playoffs this season. Someone has to be held accountable for this mess. Edited Saturday at 01:43 AM by UCFKNIGHT Quote
lordstanley Posted Saturday at 01:48 AM Posted Saturday at 01:48 AM Tigers lose. Lead over Cleveland down to 7.5 games. How many more games until the Tigers’ run differential for the season (+61 currently) drops into the red. Quote

The next time out, he gets hammered. Inconsistent pitchers and over-anxious hitters. And the poor defense? These are pros who all know this game. We'll either turn it around or not. But so far, it's been a fun season. And I don't think most of us thought we were a real championship team. Just compete...something they stopped doing. Quote

The next 50 they are about who they are. A .500 team. As well as the rest if the division played sub- .500. So he got them to play great ball and gave us joy before the long season eats up all the delusions and daily grind sets in. Hinch always pounds into the ground the fact after great performances, you have to come out the very next day and start all over again. The good teams know this and will pace themselves. It's great to get off to great starts but you have to sustain for 162 games. I think Hinch knew this as well and although dissapointed in this recent slump, not too overly emotional. It also tells us how great of a season last year was with the chaos and all. Even that was not sustainable. Quote
