Thank you for the genuine improvement of my fan experience from your content Bert.   Its a smile for this and shared agony for the bad times.   Tip of the cap.

Was Chet the last 84 Tiger to pass?

I believe so. I believe Hernandez was the next to last. Senior Smoke and Bergman passed many years ago. Can't think of any other players off the top of my head.

I had thought Juan Berrenguer had passed but wikipedia assures me he is safe.

Ahh, I hadn't realized Bergman died. 10 years ago, I must have been away from my PC that day. Now I'm bummed, his long at-bat against the Jays was one of '84s most memorable moments.

Lopez was the first to pass away, at age 44 in a car accident in Mexico. I don't think he ever got enough credit for his 1984 season. Hernandez got all the alcolades, but Senior Smoke was 10-1 with 14 saves.  One heck of a year.

Riley Greene will have a breakout tonight.  He's going to be wearing his new glasses and they will be spectacular horn rim jobs.  He's also going to have a chinstrap for his helmet.

The Shade of Dan Petry would prefer you phrase that:  "Was Chet the most recent 84 Tiger to pass"?

Unto death did pass which member of the gallant most blessed boys, most recent?

Twins: Zebby Matthews, RHP (2-3, 5.67 ERA) Vs Tigers: Chris Paddack, RHP (4-9, 4.77 ERA) I see a low scoring game Tigers 4-2

They made Paddack eat a Little Ceasar’s pizza? I’d prefer Vietnamese Cha Gio with a light spicy sauce. “When in Rome do as the Romans do” as St. Augustine is alleged to have said…

Through some terrible error on mlb.tv I was just now forced mistakenly to watch a Rally House ad for the Texas Rangers.

Sometimes when I watch a game on MLB, the commercials are in Spanish.

My Internet just crashed to spare me the suffering of experiencing what just occurred live. So something positive did come out of this. it’s not an MLB problem for me just coincidental.
