tiger2022 Posted Saturday at 03:51 PM Posted Saturday at 03:51 PM I think this has the potential to be a 12-11 type game with these 2 guys starting. They both pitched well their last start but the total is 8.5 runs and I would be surprised if at least one of the teams didn't beat that on their own. Quote

IdahoBert Posted Saturday at 04:55 PM Posted Saturday at 04:55 PM I no longer know what to expect, predict, or extrapolate, etc. My projections, hopes, or fears tend constantly to be thwarted by real outcomes that pay no heed to my fantasies. A former brother-in-law of mine once said, “Yew git watt yew git and yew don’t pich a fit.” I guess a broken clock is right twice a day and I think he might be right in this case. Whatever happens we’re going to get what we get. Quote

lordstanley Posted Saturday at 08:45 PM Posted Saturday at 08:45 PM Yankees beat the Astros. Houston is now 2 back of the Tigers, Seattle is 3 back. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted Saturday at 08:56 PM Posted Saturday at 08:56 PM Greene just getting a sort-of day off today, hopefully. If it's a close game, he'll play at some point. Quote
holygoat Posted Saturday at 10:16 PM Posted Saturday at 10:16 PM Benching Riley has already cost them a run. Quote
IdahoBert Posted Saturday at 10:19 PM Posted Saturday at 10:19 PM So I’m wondering how much MLB teams are paying for the secret dossier on how to get first inning runs against Tigers starters? Quote

IdahoBert Posted Saturday at 10:52 PM Posted Saturday at 10:52 PM I have nothing against an appreciation for the psychological and affective aspects of this game, but all of the chatter about “momentum“ rubs me the wrong way. I don’t think ball players or teams are empty vessels pushed around by statistical probability, but I’m not a big fan of the voodoo of “momentum“ either. Quote
Tiger337 Posted Saturday at 10:53 PM Posted Saturday at 10:53 PM (edited) Momentum is only as good as the next game's starting pitcher (Earl Weaver) Edited Saturday at 10:54 PM by Tiger337 1 Quote
