Twice they had a man at third with less than 2 outs and couldn't score against Morton. Twins are really bad. Tigers hummmmmed their way to victory. Quote

OTOH, for a long stretch at least the aerial shot of the dealership lot that ended the local Ford dealer assoc ad was of Varsity Ford in Ann Arbor, which is at least the right state. The Chevy in-house ad agency for a LONG time was Campbell Ewald (even mentioned on the show "Mad Men"!) I always wondered that those two names were names I also saw in the Detroit Tiger yearbooks (Jim Campbell and Dan Ewald). I never bothered to investigate further. Quote

Little.[5] Ewald died three months later in 1953.[8] Quote

The Chevy ad that I’ve been seeing on mlb.tv where the guy at the end of the ad is wearing a Tiger‘s cap is definitely if not in California then more generalized in “The West.“ The terrain is more interesting photographically. CMRivdogs Posted Saturday at 04:34 PM Posted Saturday at 04:34 PM Campbell Ewald had their headquarters in Ford Field for a while beginning about 2013, according to a quick search. Their current HQ is now listed as Birmingham. Quote
chasfh Posted Saturday at 05:04 PM Posted Saturday at 05:04 PM I grew up a half mile from the Campbell-Ewald building from 1963 into the '80s, then bought a house a half mile from it in another direction where I lived until the end of 1991. So I lived in the shadow of Warren's tallest "skyscraper" for close to three decades. I never knew what it was almost until the moment I got a job at Doner (or, more exactly, W.B. Doner), and then I was like, oh, that's what Campbell-Ewald is. 1 Quote

I think there was also a "Metro Detroit Buick" spot with the cars lines up in front of the Griffiths observatory. It does make a nice picture looking out ever the basin, but it ain't our "Metro". A couple others that have shown up in Detroit ads from GM was one I recognized that was shot along the Wharves in SF, and another with a car tooling down the street in LA near the Disney Concerthall.
