Philly is likely to figure it out but there is a non-zero chance they implode again. One of the advantages of taking talent over character is that sometimes everyone is on and it works. But those character issues can surface and ruin the locker room.

We will see about Washington. They already ruined one mobile QB in RGIII. Are they on their way to doing it to Jayden Daniels? Anyway, I see them as a slight favorite to win the NFC East at this point.

Baker Mayfield is easy to love, but TB is 4-1 with a +3 in point differential. They are clearly the class of the sorry South, and they are a tough out, but they are about the weakest 4-1 team one could ever find. Are they better than, say, Seattle? Not sure. But they have the benefit of playing three bad teams twice.

Green Bay is a good team but caught Detroit at the right time and the right place. I do not believe in Love.

Tampa is also a few plays away from being 0-5.

but there is one factor that keeps preventing that from happening and if people used the term Most Valuable Player as it's true meaning rather than who has the best stats, then Baker Mayfield has to be in the conversation.  He's not the best QB. He's not a great runner, his arm isn't the strongest and he's not the most accurate, but damn can that guy put a team on his back.   Boy was Cleveland stupid.   He only had that bad year with the Browns because half the team was hurt and he was beat to ****.  He wouldn't quit.  He never quits.

That’s oddly sad. But I agree overall.

I am glad the Lions don't have a player with AJ Brown's attitude.    You don't hear Jaymo complaining about his numbers after a Lions win.    Don't don't hear ANY Lions complaining after a win.

I wish Queensryche's Operation Mindcrime were more well-known and canonical.  If it were Gen Xers in this thread I'd have posted this in response:

How many coaches and coordinators need to lose their job before it’s understood that you can not win with Justin Fieids as a pocket quarterback.

The only way it can maybe work is if he’s running or passing from a rolling pocket at least 50% of the time.  Even that may not be enough.

Feel bad that Aaron Glenn is stuck with such a bad option at QB.

People were saying the same thing about Goff in 2021. Not to say Fields will become Goff, he won’t. He’s bad.

But I still think Glenn is a better head coach than Ben Johnson. The Jets need to give him time.

Denver beat Philly but today they looked like a lottery team. Yes, good defense but their offense looked horrible. That's good for the Lions chances at Philadelphia. Denver played very, very conservative. Pretty boring football.

Ravens tried 2 tush pushes at the goal line and failed, then tried Henry on 4th down and failed too. They failed the realize the play only works if you cheat. You have to jump early:

Agreed, but nobody had any reason to think Fields would amount to anything. Holmes had insider info on a buy-low asset.

AG will end up with a top-three pick and get his QB of the future.

Unrelated, I just watched a Ravens DB get away with a blatant defensive hold on a catchable 3rd down pass. Terrion Arnold would have been flagged for that 100 times out of 100 and maybe even disqualified just to be on the safe side.

Watching the TV game offerings today; Denver-Jets...Dallas-Carolina....Pittsburgh-Cleveland...proves one thing for sure. There are many really bad football teams out there. I'm glad our team is elite. 😅

Did you hear about Anthony Richardson's injury today? The backup to Daniel Jones so of course wasn't going to play so how did he get injured? Wait til you hear ...

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46572199/colts-richardson-inactive-hurting-eye-mishap-band

Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cardinals after sustaining what the team described as an eye injury during pregame warmups.

According to the Colts, Richardson was doing warmups with elastic bands when a mishap resulted in him being hit in the eye. No further details were available.

According to a source close to Richardson, the incident occurred in the locker room, where there is an apparatus players use to attach the warmup bands to when utilizing them. That device, the source said, malfunctioned and the band forcefully hit Richardson in the face. He was left with a substantial injury and needed to be taken to a hospital. The injury was likely to require stiches, the source said
