Mr.TaterSalad Posted Tuesday at 03:21 AM Posted Tuesday at 03:21 AM All the communication issues and worries people had about the interior of the offensive line after week one, seem to have been corrected. I feel reassured. Quote
NYLion Posted Tuesday at 03:23 AM Posted Tuesday at 03:23 AM I don't care what the final score said, the Lions dominated those suckers. THAT was a statement win to all the skeptics who said that the Lions Superbowl window closed. I'd love for them to get another crack at the Packers right now. 2 Quote

StrangeBird Posted Tuesday at 03:25 AM Posted Tuesday at 03:25 AM (edited) What a great win. Did not expect this one. Defense was really impressive in the 2nd half, except for that last drive by the Ravens. Goff, Monty, the OL, and St. Brown all great on offense. LaPorta had some key 3rd down catches early on too. It's not that the Lions didn't commit the penalty, it's the selective enforcement of offensive penalties based on the QB and not the actual degree that the penalty affected the play. Quote

Yeah, the way the game started on the ground was not encouraging, but they certainly produced by the end of it! Quote

I don't complain about calls that are so blatant. And if you talk to a Baltimore fan, they'll say the refs missed calls on the Lions, too. Quote
RatkoVarda Posted Tuesday at 03:36 AM Posted Tuesday at 03:36 AM i also think that we won't see the Offense at its best for a few months when the line gels, and when they can stop wasting 1-2 possessions a game with odd play calls, they are going to be even more fun Quote
Shinzaki Posted Tuesday at 03:36 AM Posted Tuesday at 03:36 AM They practically tackled Hutch and he still got the sack Quote
Motown Bombers Posted Tuesday at 03:37 AM Posted Tuesday at 03:37 AM Once upon a Monday, in the midst of a great game, While I pondered, weak and weary, feeling football’s sting and pain, Over many a thrilling quarter, the teams began to play, A battle fierce between the Lions and the Ravens on display. “‘Tis just a game,” I muttered, “no need for hopes to wane— But it’s the Lions who shall win, the Ravens' fate is plain.” Then, a roar like thunder booming—raucous, wild, and insane— It was the Lions, roaring louder, sweeping through the rain! "Tell me, why," I said, "so brash, with claws so fierce and keen, Do you chase the Ravens down like nothing I’ve ever seen?" Quoth the Lions, "Nevermore." Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the gloomy third, That the Ravens, faltering, stumbled, defeated by a word. With the ball in hand, the Lions surged, their hearts ablaze with pride, While the Ravens, struggling, faltered on the field they tried to hide. On a fumble—oh, so clumsy!—came the roar from every stand— A lion's pride, its claws intact, its victory in hand. It was no more the Ravens’ time; their quest was all but done, For the Lions led with power, their work far from being won. "Tell me, O mighty Lions, tell me, why this game’s to last?" Quoth the Lions, “We’ll roar on, victory’s in the past!” Then a shadow crossed the field—each raven flew away, While Lions rumbled through the night, their victory on display. And the crowd began to chant, with chants that rang so true, “Detroit’s finest, roaring loud, the Ravens we outgrew!” And the Lions, with their fierce pride, continued on their way, As the Ravens slunk away in silence, hiding from the fray. For the Lions’ might was clear to see, and victory was sure— And every soul would say it loud: "Detroit, we’re here for more!" Quoth the Lions, “Nevermore. Quote

Mr.TaterSalad Posted Tuesday at 03:48 AM Posted Tuesday at 03:48 AM Before this game people did not have the Lions in the conversation with Buffalo and Baltimore as the best teams in the league. Well we are now. That was a statement win that says we belong with the very best in the league. We looked like the best team in the NFL tonight for sure. Quote
