I just started reading a book that reminds me that the church of the 'prosperity gospel' and its belief of output being a sign of approval from G-d are both strong in this country. There's a feeling, whether on the surface or somewhere close to it, that CEOs are deities, and that financial success is automatically deserved by a chosen few.

The church Trump reported attended while growing up was pastored by Rev Norman Vincent Peale. Peale made a ton of money with his book The Power of Positive Thinking. Peale was also one of the earlier proponents of the Prosperity Gospel. Which IMO clashes with everything I was taught in Sunday School. It's focused too much on Self, Success and Psychology rather than teaching grace, humility, suffering  and the effects of too much wealth.

I was taught that grace without works is dead.

I never said what I was diagnosing Trump with, but the leader of the free world is suffering definitively from a decomposition of his mental faculties combined with a power trip and his innate narcissism and sociopathy.   

Also to paraphrase his first Sec State Rex Tillerson, Trump lacks intellectual curiosity beyond that of a boy playing with matches.

It's a recipe to end, or at least severely debilitate, civilization entirely, so he has that power. I have an honest concern as to what he might do once he realizes he's not long for this world.

I also find the use of the term "clapped back" to be way too lightweight and informal for the situation.  This is not a couple of TV people in some fake fight.  This is the most powerful man in the World who appears to be dissembling in real time.

What’s with the hat? “America is Back”? Is that the new one? America is back to what? Back to killing foreign people indiscriminately? Back to rounding up colored folks on the street and disappearing them? Back to destroying government records and refusing to release reports on the economy? Back to the halcyon days before the terror of germ theory and internal medicine? Back to limiting government help to encouraging well-fed people to pray for others? So, there are numerous examples of the tech lords who were Dems shifting to support for Trump because Biden was not going to kiss their asses.  This was my meaning.
