Sports_Freak Posted Tuesday at 06:07 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:07 PM I saw this in the Free Press this morning. I'm not sure how accurate it is; If the Guardians slide past the Tigers, it'll complete their rally from 151⁄ 2 games back in the Central (on July 8, when the Tigers set their high-water mark of 14 games ahead of the Royals and Twins). It would become the largest deficit ever overcome for a division or league crown, just ahead of the 1914 Braves, who went from 15 back (and last place in the NL) of the New York Giants on July 4 to 101⁄ 2 up on the second-place Giants by season's end. It does seem like they should be due to turn things around. I hope you’re right. I don’t know how closely I can follow it though. I’m starting to feel pretty wrung out. Quote

Did they give MWG some sort of signal at Comerica Park to start this thread himself? A significant look? A nod? Quote

IdahoBert Posted Tuesday at 10:53 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:53 PM Walking Ramirez is one of those things that gives me hope that I live in the sane world. Quote
lordstanley Posted Tuesday at 10:55 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:55 PM Big double play. Gets out of a 2-on jam and limits 1st inning pitches to 18. Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted Tuesday at 10:55 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:55 PM And that, my friends, is why you walk Jose Ramirez. Every time. Quote
IdahoBert Posted Tuesday at 10:57 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:57 PM I’m glad the Tigers got that DP to end the inning. If Cleveland scored two or three runs in the first. I was going to go back and watch something more uplifting like “28 Year Later“ on Netflix. Quote
