OK, I see. I wondered whether you were suggesting that he understands that, because of the Constitution, he has to step down in January 2029, to which I might reply, lol as if.

I mean, that might be right, although he also strikes me as a guy who ... ahem ... whistles past the graveyard when it comes to contemplating his own mortality. I happen to believe it's more likely he is building the vanity project because he intends to never leave office as long as he is alive, versus securing his legacy in the face of his inevitably close mortality. He may intellectually acknowledge that he is going to die someday and probably soon, but that doesn't mean in his heart that he actually believes it.

Both can be true.  Terminal urgency is because he is aware of bad medicals but the fantasy of being the King of America is also strong in this one.

The destruction of the East Wing and plans for a ballroom are distractions. Not so much from Epstein but from the fact that underneath the East Wing is the bunker that Trump hides in. And it's being upgraded. And then Trump orders nuke testing? The asshat is going to get us all killed while he hides in a new bunker.

Players who say God was on their side when they accomplish something doesn't make much sense. How about when they fail? Did their God ignore their needs? How about the other team/players? Was their god punishing them? And don't ever think about the American civil war....both sides claimed God was on their side. That didn't seem to work out too well for the Confederate side. God must hate racists. No hope for them.

And then lets talk about these MAGA Christians. Look at their behavior. Deporting people in need. Denying school kids breakfast and lunches. Putting people in cages after seperating them from their families. Taking away millions of people's Healthcare. Taking food stamps away from the needy. And many, many more of their actions that make these Christians appear to be phony liars. Tell them that Jesus was woke and see their reaction. The hatred these people exhibit is a sure sign that they are in fact, not real Christians. They're just in a cult. The MAGA cult. When I first saw this thread, I thought for sure it was going to be about Trump's visit to NY for the 3rd Tiger-Yankee game. The Tigers won the first two games, scoring 12 runs and 11 runs. The Trump visit started their rest of the season slump, costing them the division and a possible bye. Trump destroys everything he touches...
