I can't believe a major league manager would not replace a guy who is killing his offense. Let alone bat him third in the order. Perez is totally lost at the plate. He might as well attempt to bunt because he's not hitting it by swinging. If he happens to hit the ball, it will be by accident. Quote

tiger2022 Posted September 27 Posted September 27 God forbid if Carpenter gets an at bat against a left handed pitcher. I honestly think Hinch would have had guys like Barry Bonds, Ted Williams, and Babe Ruth in platoon situations had he managed back in the day. Quote
Tigermojo Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Can someone inform the team they can't win with zero runs please? 1 Quote

Must have missed him giving Riley Greene and Parker Meadows every day AB's against LHP... Or Keith last year. Quote

monkeytargets39 Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Jahmai Jones is the only one showing up to play this week 1 Quote
IdahoBert Posted September 27 Posted September 27 It’s a shame that Montero’s well pitched game is going to waste because this team simply cannot score runs anymore. And Jahmai Jones singles on a ground ball to left fielder Masataka Yoshida. Dillon Dingler scores. Javier Báez scores. Parker Meadows to 3rd. Jahmai Jones to 2nd. Quote

You should realize that when they win today, you have to be the game thread creator as long as they win! Tell you what, John: if we win today, i will start the game thread for all the remaining games in the regular season. 😁 1 Quote
IdahoBert Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Until just now in the last 14 games, the Tigers had scored only 35 runs. It’s now 37 and 15 games. Quote

Not sure who the color analyst is but he sucks mightily. You must not be listening to the Tigers radio feed because Bobby Scales is a really good analyst. 1 1 Quote

Meadows is only in there against LH pitchers for his defense. Quote

I could see if he was a great player and they gave him the gig but you mean to tell me there aren't other people out there who can actually articulate an actual thought? I like Bobby Scales. He played in the minors, majors and Japan and also has front office experience. Has some good thoughts. He is enthusiastic. I still thinks he talks too fast for radio, but either he is getting better or I am getting used to him. Quote

Not so much You also have told me Hinch has a lot of integrity and Harris is an amazing gm too. I think we disagree a lot of things. Quote

Keith didnt get those AB's this year. Splits don't tend to stabilize until you get 1000 or so against LHP. Meadows and Greene have defensive value, so you stomach the platoon split. Carpenter doesn't. 1 Quote
lordstanley Posted September 27 Posted September 27 I think the Red Sox are totally prepared to gift this game to the Tigers but the Tigers must do their part. Quote
