sigh.  i always liked the tiger coming through the D.  i feel like i must be the only one.  i didn't want it on home hats or jerseys, but for the road it was good (i join those saying the home uni should strictly be the traditional ones).  i really miss the charm of the mismatched Ds on the hat and jersey.  i will never forget the bull**** rationale we were offered that mlb wanted single logos and so the tigers changed.

I have two Tiger jackets that I am unwilling to unload.  A navy pullover with an orange D on the front and a navy button up with the scripted Detroit in white on the front.  I think they’re both around 20 years old.  Still in good shape.

How are we going to be able to watch the Tigers on TV this year?

It a little bit confusing but we haven't heard the details yet. If it's on the MLB network and you're a new subscriber, you need to buy a subscription to ESPN, unless I think, you have ESPN thru your TV subscription. Once you have ESPN, you can purchase a yearly MLB subscription with the one month free trial of ESPN. Then cancel the ESPN plan without ever paying them. That allows you to keep the MLB games. Yeah, kinda confusing. I'm not even sure if thats where the games will be streaming? Details are TBD, I think. But there's more details here. Wait until it's announced;

I am totally confused by this.

Also - if we sign up via MLB - are we subject to the stupid local team blackout rules?

The way MLB had it, you can't even watch your local team's ROAD games.

They are playing in 5 hours and I am very sick and can't do much today and I really want to watch the game.

I'm not committing any money towards anything until I know what I am getting.

If someone else has navigated this correctly and can actually watch the Tigers while being in Michigan, please let me know how.      I don't think the Tigers have been very clear on any of this.   Maybe they haven't sorted it out.

I don't think today is on TV anywhere. As for future, regular season games, if the only source is MLB, I don't think there would be blackouts. Unless the game is on a channel that has exclusive rights. But, the details haven't been announced yet. There may be some folks who know how it worked with a few teams that used MLB to broadcast their games last season. As for having the ESPN app to order the MLB package? That's pretty simple, new subscribers need ESPN to order MLB. ESPN has a free 30 day trial. And you can cancel it before it renews and not pay the $29.95 per month. Just pay for the year of streaming the MLB channel. I think it's $149 for the season. But we still need clarification from the Tigers...I haven't heard the exact details yet. To be honest, I'm getting kinda impatient. I don't like change...lol

I firmly believe McGonigle will make this team out of spring training.   Using your projection either in place of Lee or one of Meadows/Perez/Vierling suffers an injury and they decide to use Javy in the OF again.

I don't think you (and me) are wrong to be a bit impatient with the lack of clarity here.      So I have to sign up for ESPN to then sign up for MLB?   That's kind of stupid, to not be able to just directly sign up.   But then again, Rob Manfred is in charge, so stupid makes sense.

If you already have ESPN thru your TV provider, you don't need to sign up for ESPN. And with the free month, it won't cost anything if people do need to sign up for it. Just don't forget to cancel it, thats what they count on...🤨🤨

Do you have to spend an hour with them on the phone in order to cancel?

Lol...prolly on-line. My MLB renews in May at $149 without having to buy ESPN, which i already get with YouTube TV. And we're still waiting on the details from the Tigers. And Red Wings...

If this is any indication, City Connects may be going on life support soon.

More interestingly, you dropped your secret identity.  And I always thought you were really Bruce Wayne.

OK, I have youtube, so I probably don't need ESPN.  I really don't understand any of this stuff.

If you subscribed before and it auto renewed, you are fine. No new action needed.

YouTube doesn't seem to be on the list but this makes it a little bit easier to understand;
