Edman85 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago All six pitchers in DFA limbo from Tuesday also non-tendered, as predicted. I'd expect Little, Duggan, and Mattison all back within the next week or so. Not so sure on Rainey and Guenther. Foley will probably want to test the market before settling for a minor league deal. Didn't make it until 28, If he manages to catch on for another year of platoon duty he could get to 500 games playes and be done at 33. That's not a bad career for guy that broke in that late. RatkoVarda Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Foley got tendered a contract per Beck. that correct? Quote

We will need Ed to sort this out because from anything I've read, you can't tender a player you have DFA'd, so maybe one or the other of the reports are wrong. Tigermojo Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Tigers sign Vierling, Brieske, Rogers; non-tender Ibáñez Beck fixed it. "Tigers bullpen that has lost Jason Foley, Alex Lange and Sean Guenther in recent moves." 1 Quote
Edman85 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago You can tender a contract to a DFA, but then you would have to outright that tendered contract at the end of the DFA period after clearing waivers... and Foley can't be outrighted because of his injury. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago (edited) Beck posted a correction - Foley DFA'd is correct. In any case, that's too bad. Would have liked to see him make it back. Edited 10 hours ago by gehringer_2 Quote
papalawrence Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Wonder if Harris will give Gonsolin a flier? Seems like his type of signing Quote
AlaskanTigersFan Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I'd like to give him AND Beuhler a shot. See what Fetter can do w/ them. Quote
