number20 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Good frickin GRIEF I think Hendrickson just got a lot more expensive Quote
sagnam Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago These contracts are always overstated. Still big money, but the cap is always going to go up. The entire business model depends on it. Quote

I have no idea what they think about him... I'm just sayin'. They can love him all they want, but he is what he is. I don’t think he’s going to magically turn into a player just because they guys who drafted him still want to believe. Quote
ewsieg Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago End of the work day and catching up on the Lions news. OL doesn't look as worrying as it did just yesterday. Figured i'd take that news and go play with a mock draft, with some trades I got: 25 - Emmanual McNeil-Warren - S 50 - Blake Miller - OT 57 - Gabe Jacas - Edge 63 - Keionte Scott - CB 115 - Michael Washington Jr. - RB 157 - Sam Roush - TE 205 - Cole Payton - QB 213 - Reggie Virgil - WR Picked up New England's 2027 3rd round pick too. I would be happy with it, but I also don't truly understand how players from one scheme match up / play in another scheme, so who knows. Figured I'd post it so I can come back after the draft and see if I got at least close on one of my picks. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago If the Niners have to trade Trent Williams, I wonder what he will fetch, knowing the recipient has to pay him. Quote

Motown Bombers Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The most active teams in free agency appear to be the Raiders, Titans and Saints. Teams that haven’t been very active, Eagles, Seahawks, Broncos. Hmmm… Quote

Borom is good depth and can play any position on the line (except maybe center). But I don't like the idea of going into the draft pigeon-holed into taking a tackle in the first round. That's how you end up taking 2nd round talents at 17. I feel like they have enough pieces on the OL that they aren't forced to take a tackle in the first round, especially if Sewell flips to LT. But everything I've seen about the draft this year indicates that there is good depth at OT in the first round. Assuming that they do pick an OT at 17, I don't get the sense that they will be over-drafting. Quote

The entire business model depends on it. The Jalaen Phillips and Jordan Davis contracts are terrible regardless of cap inflation. 4 years $120m for Phillips is absolutely insane, I almost couldn't believe that when I saw it. I haven't even touched on the Pearce contract being nearly $30m/yr for a guy with a career high of 47 catches although he is a good player. Quote

Motown Bombers Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Kyler Murray is available. He's familiar with Petzing's system. Quote

Hopefully McNeill is healthy, Williams steps up, and we get something out of Levi or Pascal... Man for that money though...I really wish they'd retained him. Quote

They need a pocket passer like Goff. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I want to be patient. I know Holmes is likely hard at work. But it’s hard not to be at least a little concerned. Quote

If by the end of the week we sign a couple guys like Braden Smith, Bradley Chubb, and maybe two DBs, all to short-term deals, I’ll feel a lot better. It’s OT and the defensive backfield that worry me the most. Quote

Not a lot of takers so far I’d bet it’s a years over dollars thing with him. He got pissed with how the Bengals treated him with the franchise tag. He probably sees that he’s only got one more big contract in him, so he’s hoping for 3-4 years instead of 1-2. He’d probably take 3/70 over 2/50. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted 14 minutes ago Author Posted 14 minutes ago Losing Roy Lopez hurts. He was an important depth piece for this team and started when they needed him too. I would have signed him for the 2 years @ $11.5 million that the Cardinals are paying him. Quote

So who is going to be squeezed out of a starting gig? We lose out on Kyle Allen as a backup so... how about Justin Fields? Quote
