I think this is also old news - at least a week - more I think. Pretty sure I get a text of the Gov's endorsement awhile ago. IDK, maybe it was something else but that's what I thought it was.... Motown Bombers Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Early in person voting starts tomorrow. I think the timing of the endorsement has more to do with that than polling. Quote

Hmm, OK - maybe it was a cross endorsement from "candidate for Governor' Benson that I deleted along with the other 20 political texts I'm getting a day /....sigh.../ I suppose if the Gov weren't leaving office it's not an endorsement that they would want all that much to make. You don't want shoot yourself in the foot with the Senator from your down state if you back the loser. Edited July 24 by gehringer_2 Quote
Motown Bombers Posted July 24 Posted July 24 I don't understand why so many on the left want to push this? McConnell's term is up. He's not running again. An appointed successor would only be for four months. Kentucky law doesn't allow it. The new senator would not be seated and Beshear would be impeached. The best possible outcome is McConnell remains incapacitated. Quote

I'm not going to be forced into voting for the lesser of two evils. This isn't a coronation. If he loses, he should have campaigned better and had better messaging instead of noun, verb, AIPAC. 1 Quote
pfife Posted July 25 Posted July 25 (edited) Unlike you - no one is telling you who to vote for. Were plainly, clearly, and directly calling you a hypocrite based on 2+ years of your posts now contradicted. Clown. Edited July 25 by pfife Quote

Of course you don’t have to, just know this is the very thing you were complaining about with progressives over the years. I have my choice that I want to be the nominee, but I’ll be choosing whomever wins the nomination. We can’t afford to have Mike Rogers as our senator. Edited July 25 by Tigerbomb13 Quote

As progressives have made clear, it’s not their decision to sit out that helped Trump win. Voters have no agency. Uncommitted was useless and had no impact on the election. Only campaigns can fail and Abdul failed to earn my vote. I’m not excited by noun verb AIPAC. If I automatically vote blue, the Democratic establishment has no reason to change. My vote is sacred. My whole identity is tied to whoever I vote for, and I cannot vote for someone who via Hasan Piker is doing a genocide in Ukraine. I will write in Hunter Biden. Quote
