I think the Pro-Putin elements on the Right are among the ones expressing problems with this.  Although that is not Massie nor does it explain all cases.

Unfortunately, so many of them have been indoctrinated to hate the Democrats. Many truly detest their fellow Americans on the other side. They’ve been brainwashed into making the Left a true pariah. I bet many see a liberal Biden supporter as more of an enemy than the Chinese, Russians, or North Koreans.  At this point,  it’s almost moved past any individual issue and maybe even Trump himself.
