Mets are stealing signs accusation in 3.........2.............1

Why?

A bloop single, a swinging bunt and two routine fly balls misplayed by the centerfielder... those were the hits off Skenes.

This is the problem with multitasking, running back-and-forth into the kitchen and being on my 3rd cup of coffee. At least I have a full head of steam.

Not your fault—you couldn’t sleep last night.

By the way… I am in the correct thread…

i’m watching the top of the 10th inning of the Pirates versus the Mets listening to the Pirates feed and the affection they have for Don Kelly is actually quite compelling. It makes me feel good to witness that.

ABS is already hilarious.

Buckner is a bad umpire who should be fired. He had 6 calls overturned by ABS!! Probably several more that were8 missed. A horrible umpire.

And watching that video? Twice Buckner says batter challenging the pitch. No, he isn't. He's challenging the call!!

MLB.com used to offer one Free Game of the Day. I don’t see them doing that so far this year.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. They had some during ST but nothing since Opening Day. I wonder if it has something to do with ESPN taking over the distriibution?

I wonder if enough of these outings forces MLB to go to ABS all of the time sooner than we think.

I hope it does force them to move on from Umpires that aren't very good. There are an enough guys who call a good game behind the plate, MLB has had no real need to keep the guys who don't. It's just been habit, but now it's a habit they have more motivation to fix.

I believe that could happen only if Baseball can get Players, which include pitchers, on board for it.

Did the MLBPA have to approve ABS?

I assume they had input, only because I believe we'd be hearing loud complaints from them had they not.

I'm thinking that umpires as bad as Buckner will be exposed and force MLB to demote him.

It’s not like the umpire scorecards that have been around for years haven’t already been exposing Bucknor, Eddings and Laz Diaz.  The union will protect them as always.

Yeah, I get that. But nothing stops MLB to a reassignment to the league offices for the bad umpires. These guys are costing teams games, players success and bottom line....lots of people lots of money...

true, but being reversed in real time on broadcast games it a whole 'nother level of exposure to face compared to t some charts on a website somewhere.
