I think they saw something HE could fix and I believe Hinch saw the same thing which is why he kept running him out there all year. It was just unfortunate timing for the Tigers. Batting sporadically all season is not an easy thing to do. Quote

Cost us a lot of runs by not performing and is unplayable on defense. Might as well just sign Matt Stairs again. I bet Stairs is killing it in a softball league these days. Quote

papalawrence Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Bottom of the 9th - Royals 3 Twins 0. Kody Clemens hits a walk-off grand slam. Good to see him having continued success Quote

chasfh Posted July 31 Posted July 31 I will never understand rooting for players who play for your rival after they leave your team. Quote

There are players I like on other teams that I want to see do well even if they never played for the Tigers. So, what's wrong with rooting players who used to be Tigers? I don't care what most of them do after they leave, but I followed players such as Granderson and Verlander after they left and was happy when they did well. 2 Quote

I'm just saying I'll never understand it. 🤷🏼♂️ 2 Quote

Following the JV trade I watched every game JV pitched in Houston that first half season. Part of my interest in Clemens is that Target Field is 3-4 miles from my house. Quote

Ventura was ejected and Craig Grebeck pinch ran for him. Ryan picked him off of first base. Ryan went 7 innings, giving up only 2 runs off of 3 hits whilst striking out 5 and walking 2. Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted August 5 Posted August 5 (edited) Zack Littel was released by the Nats. He could be a low risk/mid reward pickup to pop in the back end of the rotation. He’s a pitch to contact guy so Comerica might help him a bit. Only 30, so if he performs you could maybe keep him as a cheap option for next year if someone gets hurt Edited August 5 by monkeytargets39 Quote
