chasfh Posted June 17 Posted June 17 I did the lowest level search I could and found this list of attendees on the Wikipedia page for Dialog. I don’t see JGL on the list, but it is a Who’s Who of What the Hell. Reported participants of Dialog events include Reema Al-Saud, Scott Bessent, Cory Booker, Sophia Bush, Ted Cruz, Tulsi Gabbard, Lori Gottlieb, Richard Haass, Jonathan Haidt, Steven Pinker, Peter Attia, Bret Stephens, Leonard Leo, Nicholas Thompson, Ezra Klein, Auren Hoffman, Reid Hoffman, Robert Hur, Kaja Kallas, Garry Kasparov, Henry Kravis, Jared Kushner, Wes Moore, Elon Musk, Demet Mutlu, Grover Norquist, Chamath Palihapitiya, Jared Polis, Eric Schmidt, Anne-Marie Slaughter, Larry Summers, Peter Thiel, and Rick Warren.[2] Attendees at a 2026 retreat also include Dan Driscoll, Peter Goettler, Jonathan Greenblatt, Raffi Grinberg, Alexus Grynkewich, Jim Himes, Hallie Hoffman, Randy Kroszner, Joe Lonsdale, Tom Lue, Souad Mekhennet, Roger Myerson, and Ryan Stowers.[11] Cory Booker? Garry Kasparov? Ezra Klein? Wes Moore? Quote

If you are half serious journalist/soical writer, you do get a pass on being anywhere. I don't think Ezra is any kind of closet RW wacko, but it is his job to know that they are saying. Quote

Malcom Gladwell rubbing elbows with Brian Eno on the one hand and the USAF bomber mafia on the other. Quote
oblong Posted June 18 Posted June 18 This is ridiculous. If anyone’s wondering why people accuse the left of being antisemetic…. and sorry but the attempts to express the “pain” is comical. It’s almost as if Fox News was parodying liberals. Quote
GalagaGuy Posted June 18 Posted June 18 I've seen some pretty pathetic attempts to deflect attention away from Trump but this one might top them all. Quote
chasfh Posted June 18 Posted June 18 I always thought red hats celebrated stiffing contractors. That’s what their hero is known for. Quote
oblong Posted June 18 Posted June 18 The Michigan GOP is such a joke. THe house leader is Matt Hall who is one of the people holding up the Gordie Howe Bridge with nonsensical arguments. Maroun probably sent a bus load of strippers to his house. Quote

oblong Posted June 18 Posted June 18 This is one major downside of term limists. Eventually you cycle out of competent peoole. And the pay ain’t all that great to lure people into it for a stint in the middle of their career. 2 Quote

The other downside is a lot of decisions are made by staff who are still around when the candidate is term limited out. So basically we end up with a "unelected" legislature 1 Quote
romad1 Posted June 18 Author Posted June 18 (edited) At a book signing by Barbara Mcquade with Chuck Rosenberg and she’s talking about prosecuting Kwame. It’s an object lesson about something in the news now. Edited June 18 by romad1 Quote

She was a nice looking older lady. It was very amusing to put both of them in the role of helping my wife get a tote bag from the top rack of the place where the tote bags were. chasfh Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Maybe they couldn't get anyone in the private sector to take on the job? Quote

Asking Lutnick to give him a call is much cheaper for Maroun. Quote
