The Pistons lost their identity in the first handful of mins with those paint hoops and never had any sense of control the entire game. Obviously, this was an embarrassing performance 

 

But I'm not going to tear the players too much tonight beyond that. I'll worry about it tomorrow. The Pistons stood pat at the deadline to learn about their team. A lot of lessons should've been learned. Let's see what the front office does this offseaon. Let's see if there was an actual method to that madness of a mindset.

 

How the heck did Gilbert get that many tickets. Hate hearing the Cavs chant.

They were the team that "wanted" it - no doubt.

Not sure if I should be upset with Cade for only taking 15 shots in a game 7.  Or happy he only took 15 shots since he shot 33% from the field and 0-6 from three.

The potential for more isn’t the same as an epic disaster. 
 

This was a projected 46 win team that won 60 with a young team that won the franchises first series in 20 years. 
 

That’s a successful season by any measure. 
 

Maybe they could’ve gone farther if they made the imaginary trade we all wanted that might not have even existed. Who knows if anything was available to us. Who knows what those teams might’ve wanted in return. 
 

The last Piston team that came back 1-3 in the first round was 03. The got swept by the Nets in the ECF. The following year they pushed their chips in and made the Sheed trade. That team was quite a bit older than this one. 
 

I’m salty as hell today too. Nevertheless, great season. Young team taking their first real steps.

cade was pathetic.  absolute garbage.  passive on offense, oblivious on defense.

In the two games Detroit was eliminated the past two seasons.  Cade is 0-15 from three combined.

It's times like these I'm glad I don't really care about pro basketball anymore.  At least I got to watch the Pistons win a couple titles back when the NBA was fun.

If you told me before the game Harden would shoot 2-10 0-6 for 9 points I would probably have asked what time the Pistons-Knicks tip on Tuesday.

An utter embarrassment, makes you almost forget all the good of this season. Just listening to JB saying he's not disappointed gives me a vibe of contentment with this group which makes me think they won't do much more than sign Duren to a massive contract and re-sign Harris.
