Sports_Freak Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Can we cancel the All Star game? Just keep playing...and winning. Quote
IdahoBert Posted July 11 Posted July 11 A few days ago, I posted a sarcastic remark that the Tigers just had to win 11 games in a row to get to .500. Well, now they’re at the point where they only need to win six more than they lose. This is a pretty special streak. 1 Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Remember, now and going forward Valencia and Rogers can co-exist. Helps take some of the wear-and-tear off Dingler and Valencia can play first base and could be in the mix for that spot next year along with Keith and maybe another player - if they don't sign Torkelson (and I don't think they will). Tork is still under control next year. Quote

Saw Dingler clapping in the dugout - good sign for the hand. Also some good velo from Brieske. Having another arm never hurts. Edited July 11 by gehringer_2 1 Quote

Having another arm never hurts. I think it was just a confidence problem with Brieske. He has good stuff, gotta trust it. And yes, a consistency good arm would be great. Somebody let the Tigers get hot!!! Quote

He had good peripherals underneath his suckitude, mainly because he hit the ball hard when he hit it. He simply wasn’t hitting the ball enough. They were giving him time to turn it around. He never did. A shame. Quote

And who knows if they have a true late bloomer or just an as yet unscouted soon to be scrub in Valencia? I *almost* hate to see a guy start out that well because they have nowhere to go but down! 🌞🌤️🌥️☁️ Quote

Interestingly, I attended an event this past Tuesday (7/14) where Alex and Tom Gage were promoting their book and his appearance on the Tigers broadcast last week was brought up. Alex said he would be open to a job working with the Tigers broadcast team if ever offered. 1 Quote

He has an endearing connection to the franchise and keeping it “in the family” just feels right. Quote
