monkeytargets39 Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Langeliers is likely done for the year now, so you can probably ink Dingler in for every positional award offensively and defensively Quote
kdog Posted July 27 Posted July 27 If Carpenter goes on the IL(Plantar Fascia), Valencia will be the move. Baez is still a few days away. Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted July 27 Posted July 27 I believe they’ve decided to sell Skubal already—because if they were actually trying to go for it and compete for a playoff spot and World Series, they’d bite the bullet and call Clark and Anderson up. Can’t keep running McKinstry, Vierling and Outman out there most every day and claim you’re going all in. 1 Quote

I'm guessing they will try to middle it. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted July 27 Posted July 27 They won't miss Carpenter - he's been a nothing this season. But I do sympathize with Plantar Fascitis. It f'ing sucks. Quote

IdahoBert Posted July 27 Posted July 27 So at least we have Montero tonight. Which is good. But I no longer believe this team, as presently constituted, can do very much to justify not trying to get a huge haul for Skubal. And I don’t particularly care if it’s a haul that will help us for the rest of this season or in the future. Various players that were miraculous contributors in the past simply can’t be expected to be founts of miracles again. Carp, Meadows, Matty, McKinstry… etc. And whatever contract AJ made with the devil two years ago at the deadline, the dark one says this contract has expired. And hoping that aging, returning players coming back from injuries like Baez and Torres are going to put us over the top, and that a mixture of luck and analytics will lead us out of the mire - again - is asking for more than reality can bear. I wish this team the best of luck and I’m gonna follow it, but I think we’ve already seen the best days and more best days are only in the future. Quote

If they move Skubal they go 35-15 post deadline. Add Torres and we're still ok. Add Mize and drop to 30-20. Quote
romad1 Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Jemai Jones hitting as soon as he puts on a different uniform crushes me. It tells me something was not quite right in our hitting prep. Maybe change of scenery was all he needed but I dunno man. Quote

Watching Dylan Smith’s numbers with the Giants in the exact relief role that we need badly is what really peeves me. Quote

IdahoBert Posted July 27 Posted July 27 I don’t know why they had to interview Gunnar Henderson and ask him how great he thinks Kevin is. Is it because they were both high draft picks or something? Since when are opposing players expected to laud players on the other team? Quote
Dan Gilmore Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Between Montero looking off, batter squandering opportunities and the fielders looking a little leaky this is a poor start all around. Quote
NorthWoods Posted July 27 Posted July 27 This team is listless. They need a good shakeup. Ive said it all year they need a Gibby type Quote
