Motor City Sonics Posted August 8 Posted August 8 The Return Of The Once Top Prospect In Baseball. If he pitches well, how many pitches do they pull him, 60? I kind of expect Jobe to be treated as an Opener, or maybe Opener Plus for the first 3-5 starts. Hopefully he can be anything close to what we expected 2-3 years ago. I think Jobe misses rookie status by 3 innings, right? I hope he recovers a little faster than Mize did, but I think the Tigers are smart to let him work out the kinks now and start the next season fresh - whenever that is. Next year's rotation Melton - Valdez - Jobe - Montero - Olson (hopefully). Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Pumped for Jobe to be back. Also VERY glad we are done with late night west coast start times Quote
lordstanley Posted August 8 Posted August 8 On the day that Jackson Jobe returns from Tommy John surgery, Tommy John in his farewell post from hospice care thanks Dr. Frank Jobe. 1 Quote

Tigermojo Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Wenceel on rehab at Toledo. I'm guessing he will replace Outman. Quote
Tigermojo Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Exit velocity 20 mph. Whole Lotta English on it. Now Clark chip shot. Bases loaded. Make sure to watch the highlights (lowlights?). Quote
Tigermojo Posted August 8 Posted August 8 This may be shocking to some, the Tigers threaten but do not score. Quote
romad1 Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Riley Greene is going through it right now. He just looks lost. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted August 9 Posted August 9 It usually goes like this. A guy makes a great catch to end an inning and then comes up to bat and usually gets a big hit. Let's hope that does not happen with Adames here. Quote
Dan Gilmore Posted August 9 Posted August 9 I have the Fox broadcast muted for the most part. Whenever I do listen in, it’s drivel. Come on, dummies, scores some runs. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Now THAT was an encouraging start for Jobe. 4 IP, 1 H 1BB. Nice 0.50 WHiP. Beautiful Quote

chasfh Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Looks like Jobe is coming out in the fifth, replaced by Ty Madden. I guess I’m fine with that. Quote
IdahoBert Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Hope Jobe looks good. I don’t know anything but I think 64 pitches, one hit, no runs, and four strikeouts is pretty good and probably enough. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Wait, is he going back out there? I mean, he deserves it, but I was thinking they were going to cap him at about 60ish pitches. Quote
kdog Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Can they win a low scoring game that relies on defense, bullpen, timely hitting? Haven't been able to do it consistently all year. Quote
